In Sonoma, you can go wine-tasting… or cheese-tasting… or olive oil-tasting… or just let the chefs of the area’s renowned restaurants put everything together for you. Then burn off some of that good food and wine by hiking or biking through redwood forests.

Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Country.

Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine are our specialties. We offer a unique variety of fresh local and imported seafood specials daily including whole fish. The seafood selections on our menu are complimented by a variety of meat dishes ranging from the popular Pork Tenderloin stuffed with almonds, olives and figs to the, hard to find, Tripe Porto Style. Many of these dishes come steaming hot out of the wood-burning oven and fill the dining room with the exotic aromas of true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu reflects the commitment of Chef and Owner Manuel Azevedo to creating the unique culinary delights of his native Portugal and its neighbors. LaSalette Restaurant is proudly one of Zagat Surveys top rated restaurants in Sonoma. See our web site for the complete menu and a look inside our dining room, which features an open kitchen and decor that sends you back in time to old Lisbon.
My wife visited last night based on Trip Advisor recommendations. A crudite was provided with my wife like - I could have passed loaded with beets. Our appetizers were the sardines which were good, however the crab cakes were somewhat bland. My main a Brazilian plate was a disappointment. The sauce with the beef/pork was more like a normal BBQ sauce, rice was dry. Could not finish the plate. Maybe it was the night. Additionally felt rushed. Four waitresses walk in a circle between our tables witch was distracting and we continuously felt disrupted. The worst is having to go out of the building into a walk way shared with a bar to get to the washroom, Several intoxicated people hanging around was not what we thought we would find. Maybe it was just this night but I would not go back.

Delicious lunch in Sonoma! The line was long-ish but moved pretty quickly and food came out VERY quickly after we sat. Two lovely patios for enjoying the sunshine. Food was tasty and appeared high quality. Prices are on the high side, but hey, it's Sonoma.

Cafe La Haye is a 34 seat American Bistro in the town of Sonoma serving locally sourced cuisine.
This is a long time favorite of our family. I consistently choose this for a night out in Sonoma. I take all out of town guests here. It is always on any list of suggestions for Sonoma - AND - due to the owners attentive care and perfection it does not diminish. It is always good. The food tastes great, is high quality, lovely flavors and the chef is one of the best. So if you are in Sonoma on vacation or any other reason this should be the first place on your list. Just the right touch of everything.

We visited the Freemont Diner on a Saturday evening after visiting some wineries in Northern California. There is plenty of parking but not many tables. They are very upfront about the wait and have the ability to text you when your table is ready. They told us a 30 minute wait and we were called after 25 minutes.
I had the Nashville chicken and waffles and my wife had the Fremont Burger. I had a chocolate milk shake and my wife had the salted caramel shake. My wife’s burger was quite good and my Nashville (spicy) chicken was excellent as was the waffle. Both shakes were out of this world. The service was outstanding.
You must remember this is a rustic/eclectic establishment but that is the charm. The food does not disappoint!

You can’t go wrong eating here. Beautiful bar, outside and indoor seating, the food never disappoints. Be sure to make reservations way before your intend to go, there is always a waiting list for this popular restaurant. Th patio is the best location. Order the cheese platter before your entree, superb! The staff is always friendly and encourages a good time. Everything is splendid to eat and this location gives one a real feel of the wine country.

Executive chef Armando Navarro's farm driven cuisine is a collection of earthy yet sophisticated, complex yet straightforward dishes that showcase the essence of seasonal produce. Chef Navarro sources his ingredients from local purveyors and nearby Sonoma farms, a commitment and dedication that is in line with El Dorado’s overall eco-friendly green initiatives.Navarro’s deeply satisfying cuisine can be enjoyed at El Dorado Kitchen. In the center of the main dining room, parties of up to 22 can gather around a 21-foot-long table fashioned from a single wood plank reclaimed from a Vermont bridge. This table is perfectly positioned to afford each diner a view of the artistic talents hard at work in the open kitchen. An outdoor courtyard allows diners to enjoy the beauty of Sonoma. Enjoy dinner under the fig trees and the clear Sonoma sky or take your lunch pool-side in your own private cabana or on one of the inviting day beds by the pool. We also offer casual dining in our lobby, nestled next to the glowing fireplace.
We had a group dinner in a private room. On a cold night, the fire place was very nice. Due to the size of the group, we had a limited menu. The short ribs and the salmon were outstanding. The service was outstanding.

We had reservations for an early dinner. Parking was a little sparse, but our table was ready immediately. The stuffed mushrooms appetizer was fabulous and our shared 32-ounce Rib-eye was even better. Our room in the old converted barn was quiet and comfortable.

We are a small family run business on Sonoma's square. We have seasonal patio seating as well as a cozy dining room.
The chef at Harvest Moon is obviously very talented because all of the courses I had, including particularly the quail, were excellent: perhaps the best food I have had in Sonoma. The wait staff is also very attentive and knowledgeable, and our soft spoken waiter had an excellent grasp of the wine list and made several great suggestions. The only negative about this restaurant is the size of the kitchen and the indoor dining. The best seating is outdoors in the back of the restaurant, and one has to pass by the kitchen to get there. The food service here is noticeably slow, not because of any incompetence or failure of staff, but because it must be impossible to produce food quickly and of good quality in a kitchen that is smaller than one would find in most houses. And the indoor dining is dim and cramped. The restaurant needs to be expanded and a modern kitchen installed (I am confident customers would fill the new space based upon my experience with the food). Or we will all simply have to deal with long stretches between courses.

Maybe I am being too hard on them, but I had been looking forward to eating at Oso for a long time. I have had to cancel reservations several times for personal reasons. Finally got to eat there. Everything was delicious but it just wasn’t WOW. Service was good, but nothing special.

I guess I always thought this was just an outdoor front cafe style with inside dining with bar...Not so! They have a very nice BACK patio area for dining as well. Very good food and lovely atmosphere. I simply got a wedge salad with grilled chicken and a wonderful blue cheese dressing, the likes of which I've never had quite so good. Very lovely dining experience...Service could be a little more attentive!
