We were told to stop here for dessert. My wife got a cone stacked high. They put a paper cup on top to keep it from tipping over. I’m not a big hard Ice cream lover so I ordered malt that was made like the good ole days. It was huge and delicious. It’s off the beaten path so use google maps for directions. Worth it. Closed now til spring

Don't know if this is a restaurant or an attraction, but I know this is a very cool place. Nothing much happening in the cheese making room when we were there, but great cheese and interesting wine served deli-style.
We stopped based on reviews. We were disappointed.
We love cheese. We were so looking forward to visit a cheese making establishment in Wisconsin. They don't make cheese here...
We bought a wedge of Gouda - tomato basil flavored. Big disappointment. Poor texture, not good flavor.
Sorry, not recommended.

What a great local place, family friendly, nice people....here you eat and meet. An artsy community they showcases the best of US, or just of Minnesota.
My tortilla crisps were delicious. Deep fried with love. Puffy, flaky and golden. My relatives had big burgers, with fries. The premise specializes in many types of burgers and portions are big, yet not too big. Just about right. Selection of wines is not much, but it's ok.
Great place we're to stop and savor the flavor of Minnesota. The town is old, and beautiful. It is worth a visit. Even from as far away as down under!

We have eaten here several times and it's usually pretty good. On our last visit the food was so salty it was inedible. Admittedly this was about 6 months ago so it is possible this is not a problem anymore.
The staff is incredible and the food comes out fast.

We stopped for a quick lunch when passing through - what a disaster Total chaos and disorganization behind the counter!
Took 20 plus minutes for grill items to be delivered. Is this a fast food place or not? If we didn't go up to the counter three times to see what was going on we may still be waiting.
Food was as expected but the manager of this place should be fired!

LoLo is a welcoming restaurant in Stillwater. A pleasant tourist town in Minnesota. I found it beautiful blanketed in powdery snow in April. LoLo is warm, lots of wood, dim lights, people taking shelter from the cold outside in whispering mode. Even in bad weather, it can be packed. Because it is really good. It is American cuisine revisited with fantasy. Mostly meat, but there is a lot for vegetarians too. As a Veg-lover I found their Brussel sprouts quite amazing. I mean...I do not like sprouts, but they know how to make them tasty. Really tasty...My relatives had meat, and they loved it. Portions are generous, more than I can eat. But I am not a big eater. Yet, if you order a burger, it will come with lots of stuff...I did not have a burger, but my relatives did. These were..huge...And we had olives...so good. Cheese...so good. We were happy with the food and the ambience. We felt at home. And I...being cosmopolitan, can only praise this place. It is honest. It is nice. Food is good. It also has a funny twist on drinks. I wanted bubbles. I got my wine in a strange glass, but it was fun...no stem. My relative Sarah, she likes her beer and Minnesota has lots of small breweries. She had coffee beer...and it came in a glass with a stem...how lovely.
If you think of spending a week end in lovely Stillwater, and I mean it- I am Australian...and Italian...- LOVELY Stillwater, ...please have your lunch or dinner at LoLo. It is worth.

Old fashioned Burgers & Malts. Featuring Full Service Dining, Walk-Up Window Ice Cream & an Outdoor Patio. Located in the heart of historic Stillwater, MN on the St. Croix River.
This place is always packed full and now we know why! It’s a tiny little shop, but there’s a large menu and extra-friendly customer service. We liked our down-home cookin’ chicken noodle soup; the burger & fries were made to satisfy; plus a highlight is the delicious malts & shakes with flavors to please (you can even combine flavors). Large persons (6’ & over): this is a tiny place with diminutive, cramped chairs and booths - you may not fit in here very comfortably. The setting is very ‘50’s (including original-size seating options from that era--where everything was a bit smaller).

They kindly split the fabulous ham, sausage, crispy bacon omelette for us at no extra charge (see photo). I can't imagine anyone eating a whole one. Hashbrowns crispy, toast thick and hearty and fresh. They made me a bloody mary that didn't include clamato (see photo) and they have the best hot sauce I've ever had (Steve's from Grand Rapids, MN). I bought a bottle from Not Justa and then ordered 4 more from Steve's website. I wish we lived closer and I'd go back for lunch and dinner. We drove out of our way on the way to a golf course and it was worth it! Waitress and manager down to earth and very attentive.

We've often used Trip Advisor for our travels, but only recently have been using it to find local gems that we might not know about. Well, The Wedge and Wheel is one of those! We were out and about over the weekend, and stopped in...MoreThanks Jeanne!
