Staycation at its best
Reviewed By simonkaneThis is our 3rd stay-cation at hotel Gio and will not be the last, whilst it's not the most glamorous or glitzy hotel in stockholm it's charm, staff and creature comforts put it above the Grand hotel. Room size are Lagom as they say in Swedish, beds are super comfortable with very luxurious sheets and pillows ..very tempted to buy them ... the room have a very cool decor that's perfect for blending in. We always eat at the Italian restaurant and the food is a scrumptious, I think better than any of the top Italian places in stockholm, the risotto and veal were out of this world, Vanessa and Abdo took care of our every need with a big smile and were super helpful when you have kids . Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and hotel Gio does not overlook that .. loads of fresh big cuts of water melon ? and awesome coffee ☕️ in a big mug is a big cup is a plus but above the hot breakfast with great crispy bacon and fresh fried eggs cooked up by the very friendly and talented chef Grover.. is the home made Granola ??? words are not enough. Buy some to take home ..shout out to Filippa and Ivana who on thier own kept the huge breakfast board restocked and tables clean and even time to fix a coffee latte to my wife. And last but not least is the happy Angels on Front desk Katarina and Malin❤ from the first Hello to the last good bye they are there with a smile and ready to make sure your stay is as perfect as possible.. I never hear them use the dreaded swedish word tyvärr bit only sjalvklart.. customer service at its best a factory sadly missing in a lot of hotels in stockholm. Reviewed By Karla18031983Rooms are very old, specially bathrooms. Breakfast was ok but every day the same. Reception should be more cheerful. Good thing is that it's in good location, 3 min to metro station, in the middle of shopping mall. This one was the cheapest one we found, but still I don't think it's value for money

Nice place to stay
Reviewed By G2KpaulyI stayed here 3 nights on my first time in Stockholm. I found it convenient to get into the city centre on metro. I enjoyed the kitchen with everything you need. The rooftop terrace was nice. The free laundry and sauna were handy. The gym wasn't very good so I didn't use. The staff should give you all the codes even if it is an after hours check in. I'd stay again happily.

Close to new business district
Reviewed By Stowey-TravellerThis hotel is very much on the outer edge of Stockholm, the good news is that you can get the Airport Bus and it has a stop 5 minutes from this hotel - Much cheaper than going by Taxi. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient, the hotel was clean and the breakfast was good (And there was a gluten free option(s) available).. In reception there are some desks, the Wi-Fi is good and a small shop and coffee machine. My room, which was a single was very small (think prison cell small) - The view out the window was of a building site with active construction (Not the hotels fault) but meant there was no chance to sleep once construction started in the morning (And they started early). This hotel could do with some investment in updating the rooms.

Only two stop with trams to Solna center, Arenastaden, Friends Arena and Westfield Mall of Scandinavia and direct trains (commuter or Metro) to Stockholm city, Stockholm Central Railway station and The Royal Castle. Airport buses to/from Arlanda stops at Sundbyberg square 10 minutes walk to/from the hotel. The design of the hotel is a mixture of Asian and Scandinavian styles that creates a warm atmosphere. The rooms are designed in a refreshing modern décor. Innovated designs with soothing earth-toned colours, metallic details and elements of fire gives you a sence of comfort and relaxation. All rooms have writing desk, wardrobe, LCD-TV with cable channels and bathroom with shower. Complimentary coffe/tea with pastries available all day until 10pm. Welcome!

Their breakfast is good. The choice of menus in the restaurant is limited but serves the purpose. The location and this hotel are good for business travel.

Reviewed By pjpojkenHär finns ett bra hotell till en vettig penning med ett klart plus för att både frukost och kvällsmat ingår i priset. Spännande lobby med högt i tak och vissa rumsfönster ut mot denna entrédel. Rummet var ljust, rymligt, rent och prytt med smakfull konst. Dessutom sköna sängar och fräscht och stort badrum. Enda minus värda att nämnda var avsaknad av duschdraperi (endast enkel glasvägg mot wc-stolen) och att frukosten kunnat vara bättre organiserad. Personalen verkade inte hänga med riktigt med påfyllning och borttagning av använt porslin, koppar, glas osv. Men som nämnts klart bra och hotellet kan rekommenderas. I det fallet ska också nämnas hygglig närhet till pendeltågsstationen (Ulriksdal)
