Moon Mountain Lodge is an ultra-luxury tented lodge ideally located at the foot of the Naukluft Mountains. The lodge is situated 56 km from Sesriem — the gateway to Sossusvlei, home to the world’s highest dunes and close to the quaint little village of Solitaire. Moon Mountain Lodge offers 17 accommodation units each with a private plunge pool. Rooms offer spectacular views of the adjacent mountain ranges or desert landscape. In addition, each unit is individually decorated. The Executive Suites feature detached private bathrooms. Bathrooms include separate deep soaking bathtubs, double sinks and handled showers with rainfall shower heads. Our fully-licensed Cosmos Bar serves drinks throughout the day and is adjacent to a large deck overlooking the desert plains and petrified dunes in the distance.

Solitaire Desert Farm is a small, peaceful lodge at the foot of the Rantberg Mountains. Guests enjoy hiking, mountain biking and fat tire bike rentals, nature drives and night drives. The farm is rich in free-roaming wildlife and endemic bird species. Our open-air restaurant serves fresh, delicious dinners with a great selection of fine South African wines. We sit at the centre of the Solitaire Land Trust, dedicated to preserving the natural habitat of the Namib desert and bordering grasslands for endemic zebra and vulnerable cheetah populations that historically reside here.
