The Crescent hotel, is set in idyllic ambience, on a hill top, with breath taking views of the Wahkaba falls, and only a drive away from the famed Nohkalikai falls and the Arwah caves, The Crescent hotel is the perfect way to experience Sohra, the genuine name of this place ( Cherrapunjee ).
Our stay at the hotel was comfortable. Location is good with a 5 min walk to the beach. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Transport arrangement was prompt. Location close to some fine restaurants.

Subhash Chandra 2/5 I am staying presently in this.i have booked a room on phone.when i saw the photo of standard room,i requested them to upgrade my room to superior quality booked for 31 may to 2 june.the manager always said there is no vacant room. Today in front of me some customer came and they said them that room is available. So i think they are not listening to your request once you have paid the money.even today at the time of check in manager told me that there is no available room. So i advise you that if you are booking a room ,be sure and check every thing before you pay otherwise you will be forced to stay in your booked room, even if the room is available.services are so so. Response of front desk manager is very poor. Hand shower hook is broken in my room and there is no man to repair it.no wifi connection.no coffee pouches available in room with kettle.no exhaust fan in the bathroom.exhaust fan area in bathroom is not covered,so insects are coming through that in night. Worst experience of booking this property. Very disappointing for us.

It is a budget homestay with spacious rooms. It has good parking space outside but rooms are quite ok. The heater was available but was not of good quality. All basic amenities were there that a homestay would have to offer. The only negative was they did not cook food for guests so we had to depend on outside food. Also, there is no power backup and there were couple of incidents of power outage, however it was back in sometime. The location of the homestay is really good. It is right in the center and very close to some of the famous attraction of Sohra.

It is the hostess of the homestay that makes this place so wonderful. A woman, who wanted us to address her as Lama, is warm, welcoming and makes the guest feel at home. The homestay is a little far from Sohra Bazaar area (which is around the RKM) - it lies somewhere on the way from Sohra Bazaar towards Nongriat. With no eateries or shops within almost a km of this homestay, the place is quite quiet! The rooms with attached bathrooms are fitted with Geyser, there is a television in the common seating area, there is also a pond within the compound. Two friendly dogs and flowers and trees all around the farm makes it worth a stay for a couple of days.

We stayed here but the 3 bed room given to us was terrible. Bedsheets were smelly, no water pressure in the toilets, toilet shower pipe was burst. After insistence we moved over to 2 double bed room which had everything proper. The staircase to upper rooms was filthy. Best part was the view and the peacefulness there but with all other minuses how can one enjoy the beauty part..

The best part is its spacious room with very good amenities. The location looks isolated but in Cherrapunjee which consists of scattered villages it is not like in other tourist places where one could find a cluster of hotels or properties. The guest house is managed by only female staff who are very friendly. It does not have a full fledged kitchen but small enough to provide simple breakfast.

Heavily overpriced. Rooms are absolutely basic. No water. No glass. No kettle. Dirty beds. Bedsheets are torn. Very bad service even with low occupancy. Food options are very low. Basic toiletries are missing in bathroom. Room rates should not be more than 1000 rs. Not even a 2-star hotel. Look for other options in Cheraponjee. Better, directly connect with hotels.

I was charged Rs 6000+ per night for two deluxe room. We were asked to take up booking at another hotel, Eco Inn, at the last moment because Vamoose Lalaiker were apparently overbooked. No cancellation allowed and booking was non-refundable booking so no chance of moving to another hotel at the last minute. There were inebriated bachelors in the next rooms who sang all night. The owner of the Eco Inn was helpful but he admitted that the rooms were only Rs1800 per night and not Rs3000/-. The people at Vamoose Lalaiker should be charged with fraud/ cheating.
