Reviews on Seafood food in Moorea, Society Islands, French Polynesia. The world's largest coral reef eco-system actually consists of 3,000 separate reefs. The island of Moorea serves as the perfect base camp for snorkelers and scuba divers seeking to come face-to-face with the diversity of life that darts among the coral. Non-swimmers can enjoy the same parade of astounding creatures from the dry perch of a glass-bottomed boat. Formed when half of a monolithic volcano crumbled to the blue-green sea, Moorea is an achingly exquisite heart-shaped island that is simply paradise found.

The Sunset is part of the Hibiscus hotel and one of the few eateries in this part of Moorea that's beachfront. We ate lunch here several times and the food was very good. Prices are a little high for such a casual place (plastic table and chairs and quite cafe like) but the portions are big. The baguette sandwiches are sufficient for two to share and ours was stuffed full of fresh tuna. The pizza was also tasty and loaded with topping.

Le Mahogany is a place to relax and enjoy delicious cuisine. Wonderful first course salad and the cassoulette was excellent. Everything served to our table was excellent. A special hello to Tiare

We stayed at the Intercontinental for 5 nights and enjoyed multiple meals (breakfast, lunch and dinners) at the hotel's various restaurants. Each time, we were impressed with the service, as well as the presentation and flavors of each dish! As such, I guess our expectations were high, when we made a reservation for a fine-dining dinner at the Shell Restaurant. Unfortunately, the food just fell short this time...The service, as was typical of our Resort dining experiences throughout our stay, was top notch! The servers were attentive, prompt and always friendly! The restaurant decor was high quality in appearance; close, personal, intimate and romantic in nature. Sadly, the only menu item that met/exceeded expectations was the absolutely delicious shrimp ravioli. The lobster medallions were presented beautifully but just didn't taste quite as good as they looked. The scallops were nothing to brag about and lacked flavor. The tuna filet was the real disappointment, as it was very tough, dry and overcooked. I' hope that the kitchen was maybe just having an "off-night", but we never ate at this particular spot again during our stay, so I can't be certain.Dear Guests,Thanks for sharing your impressions following your meals at The Shell. Rest assured that your comments will enable us to further improve our Restaurant. It is with pleasure that I will pass your compliments at our staff. We sincerely hope to welcome you back one day in our Establishment. With my best regards,

We really enjoyed this restaurant. It had a casual feeling and was full with quite a few locals. Mainly seafood menu. The raw boat with poison cru, tuna tartare, tuna shashimi etc was excellent and they did a nice vege curry for our vegetarian. The service was friendly. The only negative was the grilled tuna was very dry.

We were told about this place by locals and it did not disappoint. It is fine French dining in a very small setting. The owner picked us up from our bungalow. The dining experience was excellent as we watched a beautiful sunset in Cook's Bay and enjoyed seeing the sharks and sting rays swim beside the restaurant. The owner has lit the water and will feed them so they come to hang out. I had the Mahi Mahi plate and it was excellent. My aunt had the ravioli and loved it. Prices start at $33.00 a plate and it was an excellent experience. You need to call ahead for reservations as there are limited tables - 15 I believe. The waiter was wonderful and the food was delicious. The owner's cat will also make appearances. I was excited to see that as she happened to look exactly like my cat. All in all, it was a wonderful experience with the restaurant and I highly recommend it.

My husband and I had dinner here on 5/22/18. We received complimentary pick up/drop off provided by the restaurant. There were 2 other couples from our resort that came with us. Set pick up time was 6:30 PM. This is a very casual, laid back place which suits us as my husband hates having to get dressy for dinners while on vacation. One of our traditions is that on every trip we have pizza. We've been surprised with great pizza in very unlikely places like Peru and Cambodia for example. I should mention that my husband and I are very critical of pizza as I think his homemade pizza is the best. I had read some good reviews of the pizza from this place so that's what we were here for.The decor was eclectic and the floor was sand-nice touch. It was also very busy. Our server was friendly and did a great job without being obtrusive. Service was spot on. We started with drinks. Hinano beer and a Blue Lagoon. Yummy on that Blue Lagoon. Not only was it pretty to look at but it tasted good too!My husband and I were going to share. We ordered the chicken caesar salad. Huge portion. More than enough for the 2 of us and it was delicious. Loved the pineapple touches as pineapple is one of my favorite fruits. Got the margherita pizza which was just tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Nothing fancy. While we prefer our crust very thin & crispy this pizza did have a fairly thin crust but not crispy enough for our tastes. It was very good though and better than expected. Saw lots of other tables with pizza. Had a hard time finishing everything. There was plenty of food and no room for dessert.Cost without tip was $45.45. Credit cards accepted. This place had a nice, homey atmosphere. The service and the food we had were excellent. We'd return.

It's tough to select a restaurant after a busy, fun-filled day on Moorea! We chose Rudy's based on reviews. Rudy's picked us up from our hotel promptly. The restaurant is intimate and uncomplicated. The staff was SO welcoming and friendly! My husband tried the Parrotfish and it was delicious! I ordered a steak and it was also delicious. We saved room for dessert, lava cake and crepes, and were glad we did. After a delightful meal, the shuttle took us right back to our hotel. A perfect ending to a wonderful Moorea day!

The locals told us about this place, and the food was excellent, and a great value, considering the prices at the regular restaurants.
We got there when they opened on a Tuesday and by the time we finished eating the place was packed. When we arrived they asked if we had a reservation (which we didn't), but I guess it's popular enough that if you're worried about time, you can go that route. Menu isn't very expansive, but everything is tasty, and you can't beat the views. Also, cash only and just park along the edge of the main road.

Dominique and Philippe, the owners of the restaurant "The Yellow Lizard Cafe", warmly welcome you to their friendly hotel design is modern and local. The originality of concept consists both in cooking a la plancha, but also in the original presentation s
We all really enjoyed our food which was interesting and tasty, with good vegetarian and gluten free options. The service was really good and so was the selection of drinks. The atmosphere was good too, except for one thing, the TV which was showing promotional videos. It was distracting and not what you'd expect in such an otherwise great restaurant.
