Thredbo YHA offers the best value ski accommodation in Australia's premier ski destination with this purpose built lodge in the heart of Thredbo Village. Cosy atmosphere with fireplace and great views over the mountain and ski-fields. YHA has kitchen, lounge, drying room and free Wi-Fi hotspot. Self-contained studio apartment available during winter.
Central location in Thredbo with very clean facilities. Great fully equipped communal kitchen with everything!! Spacious dining area with indoor and outdoor seating providing a beautiful view. Comfortable sized bunk rooms with clean linen provided on check in. I stayed in a room without an ensuite and the communal bathroom upstairs had only one toilet with two showers in the females...I stayed in off peak so wasn't an issue but I imagine if they were fully booked in the winter there may be some lines for the toilet or you're running downstairs to the other toilet. Parking close to the facility is very limited so consider dropping your luggage off and then going to find a parking spot in the designated bays. I'd read reviews of this and when I quizzed the host over the phone before arriving they were super helpful with directions and suggestions on where to go. Staff were really friendly, approachable and helpful with great knowledge of the area and I definitely will be back for another stay to keep exploring this beautiful part of the world!

This is a wonderful hostel!! It's so clean and in a good location, the owner was so friendly too!! The real issue I had was the old grumpy guy I had to put up with!! It was just me and him as the owner was away he took control of everything I was not allowed to touch the Tv could not even go into kitchen he was acting like as though he owned the place!! I had to prepare food in my room I was even to scared to go to the bathroom I felt so unsafe being around him I could not even leave my room just to fill my water bottle he would always talk to me in a rude way!! I guess he was just narcissistic which is not easy to live with!! Even though I was going through a tough time dealing with this old grump I still do definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting jindabyne!!

Really found in Love with this place for his authenticity. Build with timber 140 years ago, lot of history. I have liked the furniture, the bar, the people you meet and share a discussion with a pint at the bar, the 2 not so old men welcoming you, the simple dinner, the proximity with a nice bakery for breakfast. Note we were with my wife and our 3 little kids who played guitar and pool.

Spread out like a mini village, little huts everywhere,we stayed in the middle of the first "block",,if you like peace n privacy, probs not the place, could hear old mate next door snore, and fart, kids next door on the other side,,I think practising footy tackling.room was clean, beds comfy, shower nice n hot,,but basic,,if the room is "abit" fresh in may, with the heater running flat strap, bring extra jumpers. . In June,July,Aug etc etc

Vikas is very will located for central Jindabyne with good access to shops, restaurants and Lake Jindabyne. Room appeared to have been recently decorated and had good facilities. No staff at reception and the ‘help’ telephone number did not work on our phone. Towels changed twice in 2 weeks and sheets changed once by the hotel. Room was not cleaned at all during the 2 weeks. However the house keeping cupboard was open most days so we did our own cleaning. There is also a good laundry and drying room. Breakfast is allegedly served daily but we did not try it. Worth noting that Vikas is located at the top of a hill and has a steep upwards driveway. Plenty of parking too.
