My grilled tuna sandwich was outstanding. Juicy and pink in the middle. Very tasty. Nice low-salt fries too. My sister’s grilled shrimp po-boy was excellent as well. But I withheld the fourth and fifth stars because my wife’s grilled shrimp salad was a joke. About five measly specimens lost in nothing but romaine lettuce with some salty croutons. No excuse for this poor showing. Need some attention to your salad game, guys.

Truly Louisiana, you will find our fresh cuisine, lush foliage and decks overlooking Bayou Bonfouca, an experience that is second to none!
Setting was unexpectedly GORGEOUS, especially once it was dark and the decorative lights came on. Food was amazing, and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. Our friends made a great choice picking this venue for their wedding!

"Crispy fried seafood and daily specials, seafood stuffed bell peppers, stuffed artichokes, boiled seafood. Good-size portions".
Selected this restaurant because of TA reviews. Was looking forward to shrimp and craw fish. There is little service, more like cafeteria style. You order (shrimp and crawfish) by the pound. Both were sitting out in trays behind the counter. The young lady behind the counter was very nice as she scooped up and weighed our two selections. They are served in large trays, had to ask for plates, silverware etc. was all help yourself.
They had to be peeled, so it was messy. They were dry and tough. We realized that we would still be hungry so we ordered a bowl and cup of gumbo which was good. For $40.00 we could have made a better selection. Not that bad but we would not return.

We went to Southside for supper with some of Hubs business colleagues. The waitress was very friendly and helpful.
Hubs had the fried shrimp, oysters and fish basket with Mac & cheese. It was so much food he couldn’t eat it all. He also had the baked potato soup.
I ordered grilled tuna with Mac & cheese and salad.
This is good food!

This place was recommended to me by a friend who lives in the area. I would described it as a Sport Bar and Seafood restaurant. I recommend coming in the late afternoon to enjoy the sunset.
Friendly and busy bartender which she had answered all my questions throughout my stay there. The draft beers are icy cold. I had ordered the ‘Royal Reds’ shrimp which are steamed with shell on topped with seasoning, drawn butter and cocktail sauce. Also ordered a dozen Oysters which are shucked at the bar.
Service was excellent, staff friendly. Will return when in the area again.

Kenney Seafood in Slidell Louisiana takes you back to the Cajun basics. They have a very basic menu yet a wide variety of boiled and fried. I opted for the 10 inch fried crawfish po-boy dressed and it was delectable. The bread was just wright and the Crawfish was scrumptious. I added a little bit of Louisiana hot sauce to it and waaalah! The perfect Louisiana po-boy. Although I did not get them the raw oysters looked delicious and I would highly recommend trying them. Great job Kenney keep up the good work! If you're in Slidell you need to stop by and see these folks. They had a decent bottled beer selection as well.

Great idea! This year we had a small family get-together.... .just the 3 of us.... it was perfect! Yummy meal at the copelands quality, with a thanksgiving twist.. our family took advantage of the pilgrim menu primarily. I did order "the crash and burn" adult beverage, and it was a nicely potent drink, and tasty. The servers were very pleasant. We made reservations about 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, but it so happened that they weren't full to capacity like some years ,I'm told. I would definitely do it again. I loved having a clean kitchen, and the scrumptious meal too! Oh, and the portions were large enough to have.luch and dinner.

Que Rico is a small restaurant right in downtown Slidell. It has a lot of authentic Cuban food at a great price! Their Cuban sandwich is delightful.

Food was only okay, except for the ribs. Waitress got everything wrong. Food was there before we finished appetizers. So many things were wrong. WAY, WAY OVERPRICED. Nothing worth the price except maybe the ribs, but even though they were good, they were still slightly overpriced.
