the chips and salsa were pretty, bleh
the quacamole was uneventful
the service really wanted to be poor but had some really good moments. The food was exceptional. Both meals were wipe the plate good. i wish i had written down what we ordered. a fajita dish with shrimp, steak, pork, and jalapenos, and also a plate of shrimp, pork, beef, and bacon on rice (ask for the cheese on the side!!) the beer selection was what you would expect and the prices reasonable

Wonderful coffee house! Butlers coffee is welcoming with great espresso. They make their own pastries and lunch items. I truly recommend this place.

This is our go-to place when we are in NW Iowa, partly because of nostalgia (my grandparents lived nearby) and partly because they have such wonderful baked goods. We pick up some raisin buns, rusk buns, cinnamon rolls and other decadent homestyle treats each time we come. We also like the sandwiches- hearty and tasty and inexpensive. You don't need much more than one of their sandwiches and a treat from the bakery to get you through the day. There are also lots of Dutch foods and "trinkets" if you want to get some local flavor. The town was founded by Dutch immigrants and while it is now much more diverse, that Dutch heritage permeates much of what you see around. Take it all in!

I was visiting from out of state and stopped here on a recommendation of the locals. It was definitely worth the stop. Not your big box coffee house! Uniquely decorated, a variety of coffee, pop and beer selections, muffins and cinnamon rolls. The kitchen opens for lunch. I'll be back next time I am in town.

We were very disappointed with the restaurants we found in South Dakota. When we arrived at the Sioux County Livestock Co. we were pleasantly surprised. We happened to be there on a night they offered $2 off every steak. All three of us ordered steak and various sides. My steak was cooked to perfection and tender. We all were very happy to finally have a good meal at a good price!

We ate here on a recent visit to Sioux Center. The restaurant was clean and lovely. I had chicken strips which were good. My son and husband had burgers but they found them extremely greasy and did not enjoy them. The chocolate milkshake was delicious!

The buffet at Pizza Ranch is better than the pizza buffets at the big name brand restaurants. I have been to one other Pizza Ranch in Iowa and to this one a handful of times. Included in the buffet besides pizza are soft drinks, delicious chicken, mashed potatoes, French fries, and salads. The problem with this and any buffet is the tendency to have eyes bigger than my stomach, so I eat too much. You can also order pizza your way and not participate in the buffet. There is a discount for senior citizens. Staff are very cordial and helpful. Ask for your favorite style of pizza for the buffet, and you'll probably get it.

You all know Subway so I won't go into it; they sell subs, salads, and soup... Like everything else that I encountered in Orange City, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice folks were here. And, they had the rarely-seen (at least for me) raspberry iced tea!

I rated this a "5" because this Pizza Hut made better pizzas than other stores. Our pizzas had enough sauce (rare at store pizzas places) and sufficient amount of toppings. The price of $5.99 per pizza with two toppings for two pizzas was also good. Both pizzas we ordered had veggie toppings, and we do recommend this.

They make their crust from scratch and they are super fast in making your pizza. You can pick from allot of options and it's super reasonably priced. Fresh, super good tasting and hot! If you get there at the right hours, there are slices just hot out of the pizza oven but if you don't get it right away they do have a warming area that holds slices for purchase. Though we do like them hot out of the oven. We ordered a small sausage and it was really nice and only $9.62 for a small with tax. It was more than enough for the three of us to split. If you want bigger ones they do have medium and large also and lots of times they run specials of certain ones and you get an even better deal. It's always open and if you're craving a good pizza for a reasonable price, this is the place! They also make from scratch donuts and my sister-in-law had never had them and found them to be excellent and very inexpensive.
