This restaurant has a new management since 2 years. Already on the phone while booking a table, one could anticipate the kindness of the service. It was fully confirmed during our dinner: excellent service, not too fast, not too slow, very kind and professional. We have been recommended some wines to drink and enjoyed every bit of the evening. Food is genuine, fresh and delicious, with a nice presentation of dishes. Food is traditional Tuscan (meat, mushrooms, pici...).
The price is also reasonable and makes this restaurant an extremely good deal (quality-price ratio is excellent).
We will be back.

Creating a cooking philosophy cannot be done in a short time. Susanna and Fabrizio to build their culinary definition started off from family tradition; thereafter their aim partially changed reaching a new balance between tradition and innovation. Of primary importance for them are a continued research for quality and the bond with the territory, without neglecting creativity The dream was "to open a restaurant where to go with pleasure to eat": thus a corporate executive - Fabrizio, and the manger of the family farm - Susanna, both with a passion for good food, turned into "a host and a chef" . The opportunity presented itself with the visit to the property that shortly after would have become, the home of "The Goccino" restaurant: a love at first sight, for the special environments that characterized it and the superb Terrace overlooking the Val di Chiana. The business started off as a wine bar, to turn during the first few years into a charming restaurant. It began with Tuscan f
We have nothing but praise for this terrific female run restaurant. The atmosphere is great, service charming & the food some of the best we've eaten this holiday. Perfect silky ravioli, an intense tomato soup with basil sorbet; a standout main of stuffed quail with berries plus the most tender lamb. The dramatic star of the meal, a chocolate bomb containing ice-cream over which hot strawberry sauce is poured to partially melt the chocolate - the sight & taste of which will linger long in the memory. The wine list has a range to cater for all budgets including some big ticket vintages with prices to match. For the quality, this place is unbelievablely good value; we would happily have paid more for such an experience. Highly recommended, booking advised.

Beautiful location, great wine from the region but sadly poor food. We found ourselves with a very small portion of gnocchi that were tasty even if they lacked the lightness and melt in the mouth quality that good homemade gnocchi should possess and porchetta served cold and congealed. It is described as roast suckling pig, a poor translation and perhaps we are ignorant of the details of this cold Tuscan dish but it was just awful even if cold and something that the Indian lady serving us should have cleared up. Another diner at our table had duck which I should have advised her against ordering in Italy. It was so boney and meatless that it was barely worth struggling through. Walking past the kitchen we observed it to be full of Southern Asians cooking - really? Is this restaurant Indian owned or is an entire extended family just employed here? Given this set up I am very sure that they would do an excellent curry dish on the menu or not. Please, we don't come to Tuscany expecting to eat badly and on this occasion we did. What a waste of money.

My wife and I asked Stefano for his recommendation and we weren't disappointed! Started us off with a beautiful homemade pasta, then Osso bucco, bacala and finally a delectable chocolate cream type desert! All these paired with wines along the way. Service very respectful, courteous and timely! All this for €55 total! What a deal❤️

Visited for Easter Sunday lunch, a set menu which we knew about beforehand. Lovely surroundings, stylish restaurant and top quality food and wine at a reasonable price, certainly great quality for the cost of the meal. Welcoming and helpful team - certainly not in any way intimidating. Must be close to a Michelin star. We have been several times over recent years and the standard is always excellent. A favourite destination for that special occasion meal.

We stumbled upon the restaurant after driving around for quite some time without finding an available table. The food was very good and the service very attentive.

We had a reserved table outdoors in a pleasant patio. The menu and Waitstaff are Italian language only, which was fine with us since we wanted a true Tuscan farm to table experience. However, we asked about specifics on the menu and were given confusing information. Their burgers are made from 100% Chiannina beef of which they are very proud. You would think they would cook them to your liking, but although we specified medium to medium rare with pink to red centers they all came out well done. Normally, I would send these back, but once delivered the wait staff was no where to be found and after ten minutes we decided to eat them like that. The beef is very lean, so well done is really dried out. It took a while to get catsup which at least made them edible. At the price of 14-18 Euros a plate I was very disappointed in the meal. The restaurant was packed with local clientele so it remains popular, just beware that Americans are not given any courtesy as we've seen at other Tuscan restaurants. I would not recommend this for the average tourist.

We went to this restaurant with a group of 8. It was suggested we try a selection of their menu with tastings of appetizers through to dessert. The food was absolutely delicious and the wine suggestions were wonderful. The staff and owners/chef couldn't have done more to make our meal a memorable one. Will definitely return during our stay. Highly recommend this restaurant and the prices are very reasonable.

We stayed in Lucignano for several nights and this become pretty much our local. 100m from where we stayed so it was convenient for us. Its terraced over looking the valley so its popular with lunch. Dinner times are less busy we found. Every time we went there it was the same two ladies and the cook. They hard working but always put on a smile and try their best with language, awesome people. The menu is small, in italian and the helpings are sufficient and very tasty. Highly recommended if you in the Lucignano area.
