This place is truly amazing. Nice surrounding, big rooms, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen. We were late for check in, but our host Alzette was so nice and waited for us, giving us directions. There is a nice restaurant on the premises, where we enjoyed our tasty breakfast. The whole family enjoyed the Crocodile tour. Andrew (I hope I got all the names right) was an amazing guide. So knowledgeable about the crocodiles, speaking with such passion that we were all totally excited, didn't want the tour to end. Our boys loved the experience with the crocodile cage diving. I highly recommend Waterside on Le Bonheur. You'll have a fantastic time here.

If you are looking for a fantastic place for lunch - look no further that La Paris Restaurant. They have something for everyone meat, fish, vegetarian- it’s all here. Sit outside under the large trees to listen to nature and absorb the tranquility. In winter- inside has warm wooden floors - and a very warm fireplace. Oh yes - also a good wine cellar is available.

Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty and diversity, unique accommodation, fine food and wine, and a sense of wellbeing. With the Simonsberg, Du Toitskloof and Franschhoek mountains as backdrop, Babylonstoren's garden is majestic. Dating back to 1692, the fortunes of this historic fruit and wine farm took a turn ten years ago when it fell under the gaze of former magazine editor Karen Roos. Her passion for historic Cape Dutch style led to an authentic yet contemporary restoration that projects the farm into the future.
We knew that this was not going to be a typical holiday stay. What we did not appreciate was what an incredible experience it would turn out to be. It was a decadent stay with incredible service, hosts, guides, tours, meals and accommodations. This was truly a fantastic couple days that I only wish we had been able to extend. Thank you so much to the staff for a wonderful visit. There is nothing that we would change. Nothing. We hope to return to this slice of heaven.

Lovely place to wonder around, viewing the stunning gardens but we made the schoolboy error of bringing the kids near lunchtime. If you have a vaguely normal, western kid, they’ll be bored out of their skulls and I’d advise you to bring food to eat as this place seems to think that children eat obscure fruits you’ve never seen and meat that bears no resemblance to the description. I was met with a look of disgust when questioning the lack of child friendly options. Lovely place but leave the kids somewhere else to avoid a family war!

I stayed here as it was close to a wedding venue. While the room is in the small side, the setting was amazing and I would definitely stay here again. The facilities were more than adequate and is well located for the wine land areas.

The place is in a very beautiful estate, with old trees, ponds and lush gardens. the place itself is decorated with an eye for detail and just lovely. an absolute 10 out of 10 for me. the hosts are as lovely as the place itself. very welcoming and super friendly, always happy to have a nice chat and make you feel more like a friend or private guest than a tourist. very helpful and caring whatever you need or ask for. all the premises a very well cared for and there is a lot of outdoor space to have a braai (bbq), tan in the sun, have a swim in the pool or just enjoy your patio. this place is in a secure estate with 24h manned security, yo you can even leave your door open and your car unlocked without any problems. Highly recommended and I will be back!

We stayed at Simondium's Country Lodge over the weekend for a wedding and I was surprised by how quaint and gorgeous the location and venue were. Not only were the staff incredibly friendly, but they were also very accommodating and let us check in a few hours early, as well as check out late. The room was stunning with a super comfy bed, aircon, full-length mirror and large bathroom! We also enjoyed a delicious homemade breakfast spread the next morning. I will definitely be staying there again, and next time will bring my swimming costume so I can enjoy the lovely pool. Highly recommend this establishment!
