Silverton is a city in Marion County, Oregon, United States. The city is situated along the 45th parallel about 12 miles (19 km) northeast of Salem, in the eastern margins of the broad alluvial plain of the Willamette Valley. The city is named after Silver Creek, which flows through the town from Silver Falls into the Pudding River, and thence into the Willamette River. Silverton was originally called Milford, then Silver Creek; on July 16, 1855, Silver Creek became Silverton. Human habitation of the Silverton area extends back approximately 6,000 years before the present. In historical times, the region was dominated by the Kalapuya and Molala peoples, whose seasonal burns of the area made it plow-ready and attractive to early 19th century Euro-American settlers. Farming was Silverton's first major industry, and has been a dominant land-use activity in and around Silverton since the mid-19th century.

The Silver Grille has been serving 'Willamette Valley Cuisine'since 2000. As a "farm to table" restaurant our focus is on utilizing local products wherever possible, and growing produce for use in our restaurant. Our menu reflects what is available seasonally and changes accordingly. We would like to invite you to join us. Thank you
Surprisingly, in this small town is this restaurant run by a husband and wife, (Jeff and Naomi). The food was wonderful and the ingredients were all fresh.
I would suggest reservations, as it is a small restaurant.
If you are in this area, I don't believe you will find better food.

This is the best place to meet friends and enjoy good coffees and delicious food! Cindy and her daughter, Mandy, are the best hosts ever. The restaurant is warm and inviting and Mandy's home-made pastries are worth a little break from your diet! There is plenty of room to accomodate groups for informal gathering and business meetings. This is a place to sit, relax, and let your soul be refreshed!

Gear-Up is a funky neighborhood coffee shop with a great selection of coffee beverages. I like these kind of places far better than the franchise coffee stores. My favorite drink is a Shot in the Dark (double shot of espresso in coffee). Gear Up also has a good selection of pastry, breakfast sandwiches, and goodies. It's a great place for meetings or just to have coffee and get on the internet.

What a creative and unique menu! Catering to all dietary needs and desires, this restaurant has great service, very cool ambiance, and a delicious Bloody Mary. The vegan breakfast burrito is my fave and everything else my family had looked amazing as well. We all left very happy and very full! Will come again for sure.

We walked around Silverton and stopped here for ice cream. The owner is so friendly, and we got the biggest single scoop of Espresso Explosion ice cream. It was delicious! And it was only $2.25! We sat outside and enjoyed the view of the river below. Lovely.

I went there late afternoon for a business meeting and the place was filling up fast. Apparently the locals know this is an excellent choice for lunch and snacks in the afternoon. The beer was excellent and the food tasty.

Over the years I've leaned more and more to a good cup of Jo. OK, seriously, I'm one of the 'foo foo' coffee guys, but oh well :) 'Mocha Delight' has been in the 'Wilco' parking lot for 20 years now. And though a major brand recently opened up shop across the street, they continue to maintain that which has kept them going strong all these years. That is...the most friendly...the least expensive...and just a tasty coffee as the others. Brian and Rebecca, you have my 'Five Star' vote. Thanks!

Not a bad place if you like expensive cold, bitter coffee. Served by a person who thinks they are very in. I can hardly drink the bitter fluid. From what I could see there was no healthy food in the place, just very sweet items which are not good for your health. I give very few negative reviews but this place was unreal...

Crab cakes are the standard by which all restaurants should be measured. They were good, very crabby, but could have been crisper on the outside. My husband's fish and chips were fresh but a tad overdone. Nice salad bar, which was included with the entree. A pleasant space and good service. It seemed to be the place to bring friends and family for a celebration. We were attending a festival at Mt. Angel Abbey. Silverton, and this restaurant are only 5 miles away.
