This Tuscan hill town will transport you back to the Middle Ages. Siena's grand cathedral, built in the 1200s, has treasured artworks and marvelous marble floors. The Piazza del Campo, the main town square, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's also home to the Palio, perhaps the most infamous horserace in the world. No goofy hats and mint juleps here—this is a medieval tradition involving bareback riders racing on cobblestones (so as you might imagine, it's quite dangerous). Siena is an easy daytrip by train from Florence, just 43 miles away.

As a family we stayed two nights and took breakfast. There was no area for breakfast, so they left some stuff in the room which had to do. We payed €50/night for 5 industrial croissants 2 toast bread, some crackers, cookies, water, some Capri sun lemonade, uneatable cheese. 5 x 15grams of Nutella and some honey. Maybe I forgot some stuff. When I complained they gave a few more packed croissants You thick that after I complained the first day, they would do something for the next day. Forget it, it was worse. Apparently we the industrial croissants ware out. After I dad to complain again, we had an extra toast bread, water and some cookies. The fact that they gave it just at closing of reception and run away before I even could give a respond, will not help. Luckily at the other side of the road there is a small supermarket where I bought some real fruit juice, some milk, fruit and extra Nutella. So after spending around €100 for a €15 breakfast I spend €7 more in the supermarket. I call it theft.

We loved our stay at Regis Condo over Christmas. A beautiful spacious and clean apartment. Very warm, with kitchen & laundry plus drying rack in bathroom. Cable tv and Netflix was great too. Highly recommend

?A D O R A B I L E? ??? Noi , torneremo di sicuro! ?

The nearest airport is Peretola Airport, 54 km from GH Paradiso - Apartments. GH Paradiso - Apartments offers pet-friendly accommodation in Siena.
We just recently returned from a 6 night stay at the GH Paradiso apartment. We were 2 couples who used Siena as a base for a 4 day wine tour. The location of the apartment was perfect as it was a 5 minute walk to the tour pick up point. The 2 bedroom apartment fit our needs well. Both bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. There were 2 bathrooms, but only one shower. The shower is very small( as are most showers in older Italian hotels) but it was recently remodeled with newer tiles and fixtures and was quite nice. There is a small lounge area with a sofa and dining table w/ chairs. The kitchen was small but we really only used it for breakfast so it met our needs. There is a nice coffee shop just downstairs where we would get cappuccino and pastry if we did not feel like making breakfast. The apartment has a washing machine which was handy as we were halfway through a 3 week trip. There were no instructions with the machine and I am not sure we ever figured it out completely, but we did manage to get clean clothes. We didn’t try to call the management for help but we probably should have. There were windows from the lounge, kitchen, and front bedroom overlooking the piazza. It was lovely to open them and watch the daily activity. One problem - the week we were there they had a celebration every evening for the recent Palio victory. They would play loud recorded music until late in the night. It made sleeping in the front bedroom difficult. Overall- We loved the apartment and location. It was very close to a grocery store for basic foods, and we got takeout pizza next door after long days of touring. Check in and check out was easy, we got all of the instructions by email and never saw anyone. One thing to be aware of is that this was a 3rd floor apartment and there is no elevator- just a narrow marble staircase to access the apartment. We had a great time here and would recommend it.
