We were there for a Maxis 4G Makan Lokal food hunting project, the food there really impressed us! One bite and you'll understand what is their authentic foods of Borneo all about. Great ambiance, unique decor with tropical feel, a cafe must not to be missed in Sibu. We had payung rojak, mushroom roll, otak-otak & mulu ice cream.
The food here is guaranteed to make you surprise, especially the Mushroom Roll is to die for! What's even better? They are msg, re-use oil & deep fry free!
The boss was so friendly that he offered us a free ride to the Medan Hotel, thank you so much!

Pretty decorated, a little overpriced, staff don't understand "medium rare" for steak so it come as medium. Very busy, I reckon the Asian menu and pasta selections should be better than the steaks and stuff. Not too sure why the veggies are not seasoned and no idea why is there a bed of lettuce below the steak

The fast food chain that I like most in Sibu. The only thing that keep me following is the fish burger. I somehow feel that is the best in Sibu. Not a fan on other food as I always order the same stuff since young(May be i should give a chance to other food), that is why an average review but please do visit Sugarbun if any of you visit Sarawak. You surely can't find it outside Sarawak.
They opened a new branch with drive through available, this is quite convenient for me when I only want to have the fish burger. It is slightly pricey but worth to try.

Everytime i go to Sibu, I would 'checked-in' this kompia stall. I dont say it's fantastic but it's the taste of childhood. I will still go back even the aunty is fierce..hahaha

This cafe offers a variety of local and western food and they are reasonably priced. Service is swift and polite. The must-try food is the Fish Head Noodles cooked in a delicious milky broth. It's one item that I always order when I'm there. The breakfast selection is quite good with porridge and American-styled breakfast. The place is a little cramped so it's best not to go there when it's crowded.

Whenever I feel like a Japanese food fix, I would come to this place. I think it has the best quality Japanese food in Sibu. However, they are not exactly creative with the food here. It's the standard Japanese menu you could find anywhere. Without the creative process involved, I do find that the price is steeper than I prefer but it is similar to what is charged at similar restaurants in metropolitan KL.

Just like the flagship restaurant in town, this restaurant has great deco & I enjoyed the atmosphere. However, just like the flagship restaurant, the food lacked character & tasted like ajinomoto was free. I don't care about portion. I care about quality of the food I put into my body.

Slightly higher than Average taste. Fancy place but it feels crowded and terribly noisy during my time of visit (Saturday brunch, 3rd June) the echoes of noises from the talking customers which seemed like they needed to shout even when they're 2 meters apart makes it worse. I lost my appetite and get slight headache.
The arrangement of the Seating definitely need changes. I'd be happy to pay for the price of the meal if it's worth it but I just think that it's not. Noisy, crowded.
Amongst the chaos, the staffs were friendly, helpful and efficient.

This is the first time I've been to Sibu. My friend and I visited the E.S.Bar on our first night and felt right at home. The atmosphere is very relaxing, with piped in music in the background, we could enjoy freshly draught beer and stout at the bar counter while enjoying the worldcup on the 51" LCD Tv by the side. The staff and owners are extremely friendly and hospitable. We will definitely visit this bar the next time we are in Sibu.
