The historic center of Sibiu is still partially enclosed by its original 12th-century medieval walls. Begin your visit in the Piata Mare, home to the Brukenthal Palace, containing the main halls of the Brukenthal National Museum. Descend the Passage of the Stairs down into lower Sibiu, and make sure to be on your best behavior as you cross the Bridge of Lies. A trek in the nearby Făgăraș Mountains will lead you past breathtaking ridges and serene glacial lakes.

I ate pork wrapped in pork. Ron Swanson would have loved it. Five stars!
The soups are very traditional and come out in big stew pots. The cabbage rolls are authentic and come with a side of cabbage which is crazy when you come to think of it. We couldn't eat the dessert because we were stuffed. The food comes out a little slowly which shows that it is cooked as god intended, not microwaved.

A traditional romanian food; good prices; we wait for you!The restaurant is situated not far away from the center of Sibiu, in the old city, very interesting area for the tourists.
I've been in Sibiu together with my wife and some friends for Christmas Market. One of our friends recommended us this restaurant. Was the best choice to eat like a local. I've tried "Veal stew Transylvanian style with corn meal mash".Was one of the best dishes I've had. Accompanied with a red wine served traditionally, I've enjoyed a well deserved meal in Sibiu. A must visit place if you want to taste and feel the local atmosphere. We recommend it and we'll come back here.

Typically Viennese Cafe and Restaurant in the heart of Sibiu. You can visit us when you have a business meeting, for breakfast, lunch or dinner, but also for a drink. In the summertime, we have 3 options for outdoor Seating. You can choose to sit in the Huet Square, in a smaller and quite place with a view over Sibiu, or in the Sommergarden. We are bringing new food tastes seasonally. You will enjoy our food and homemade desserts.

Probably the most beautiful small Terrace in Sibiu. Definitively the most interesting cellar restaurant!
I would advise ensuring you have enough wine drinkers in your party to be able to order bottles because those available by the glass are limited to three; one white, one rose and one red. The white was thin and bland. Much like the food we had, veal and beef stew. Both meats were overcooked for our tastes and subsequently added, thick, brown sauces seemed stale, certainly not freshly made.
The location is gorgeous and intimate, the waitress was pleasant and attentive.
In conclusion, order bottles of wine and stick to the platter of cheeses, which has had good reviews.

Visit us if you want to feel at home. Or better.
We picked up this place from TripAdvisor and I must say that I am still confused into why my plate wasn't even near as expected.
As a starter I've had the bread with 4 spreads - the bread wasn't fresh and the spreads were good but I believe there is place for improvement. I'd say this starter is overpriced.
As a main course I chose the Curry Thai chicken but the taste of vinegar was so pungent that I was only able to eat the rice and the chicken, no sauce. The curry wasn't there, or at least you could not feel anything because of the vinegar. I can wholeheartedly say it was a dish gone totally wrong.
On a positive note, the place is very charming and the service was good.
I also appreciate the short menu which should mean the plates are fresh and well mastered.

somewhat pricey but amazing food and beautiful inner design. our big group had a pre-established meal and everything went nice and smoothly almost till the end. the only minus was the tactics adopted by the staff at dessert: all of our group of 26 decided to take ice-cream and the waiter started to ask each one of us what kind of combination of flavors each one wants. he wrote everything down and went to the kitchen. it took them almost an hour to make up the right combinations. when they finally came with the ice-cream we were in such a hurry that a third of the group was already outside and the rest ate whatever thy grasped. they should have just given the same ice-cream combination to everybody. however the rest of the meal was so good that we didn't mind the dessert imbroglio.

Friendly staff who spoke English.
A pleasant atmosphere.
The food came quickly and was appreciated. Trout is their speciality and members of our Exodus Tour group very much enjoyed their servings. Our Chicken Rollard and Schnitzel meals also hit the spot.
The food was all excellent value too.
A 1 minute walk from the main historic town centre

Tango Restaurant & Pub is the place in Sibiu where the foods dances on your tongue.
Situated in a quiet corner of the Small Square, it is a constant top restaurant of Sibiu over the last years. It never disappointed me so far. During the summer they have a nice Terrace, and in the winter time the Terrace is heated. The interior of the restaurant is cozy and clean. The staff is very friendly, and from what I see, it is the same staff since many years, and in my opinion, that's important. My recommendations are: the mint lemonade, the Asian chicken, the Italian pastas or the steaks. PS: They have a children corner also.

We tried several dishes in this restaurant: the vegetarian samosa, the lamb chops, the mango soup, the cream of garlic soup, the chicken with fried rice. Everything was delicious! The services could however be improved. The waiter seemed quite grumpy and taciturn and the place is overall a little cramped and not very clean (esp. the bathrooms). It is however well worth a visit because of the great food. Many thanks!
