Old World Pizza when in Bemidji........stir fry terryaki chicken salad when in Shoreview. The bread and butter are even special.
Seriously the pizza is the best because it is so substantial and there is more cheese than runny tomato sauce (tomatoes are under there, though).
I just like eating that by the lake in Bemidji......
The stir fried chicken salad in Shoreview was take-out for us and was unbelievable, containing all my favorites: stir-fried chicken, mushrooms, onions, brocolli, fresh pea pods! All in a nice teriyaki sauce. All on the bed of lettuce with fried noodles and some kind of nuts. So so good.
I record, these in my phone notes—we go back often!

Chef owned and food made to order. Chef Tim from Louisiana serving up authentic Louisiana cuisine and bringing the New Orleans experience to Minnesota. Live Jazz and Blues on Friday and Saturday, no cover. Great selection of craft beer and wine.
I live near this restaurant and had never been there. I met a friend there for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The place was packed but the service was good and so was the food. It's a smaller place, even though they just expanded in the last year but it's worth a try.

We recently moved to Blaine, Minnesota and while roaming around our new territory we spotted this restaurant nearby. Upon moving, we had to give up our favorite little cafe. This looked like a possible replacement for our favorite little, so we tried it out for breakfast. WOW! It's an older family-owned and operated establishment that gives an impression of a small town cafe. The staff was friendly and speedy, the food was tasty and quick and the portions were huge! We will definitely go there again and we are looking forward to trying it for meals at other times of the day.

We really like Porterhouse. Quiet warm atmosphere and friendly faces. Service is excellent. Reservations suggested. Ribeye was awesome. I really enjoyed it. A few of us had walleye which they said was great and one of us had the beef tenderloin appetizer. Also, the spinach salad with warm bacon dressing was outstanding.

This was a hidden gem in a rather residential area. Very limited menu but steak was great (Lindsey's Special Sirloin), the salad was okay, garlic bread was great and plentiful, and cheesecake was pretty decent too! It's pretty reasonably priced as well. My only criticism was the lack of wine selection and no reservations are taken, but small flaws in a great place.

Acqua is comfortably located on the Western shore of White Bear Lake and offers seating in four relaxed dining rooms, two sheltered decks overlooking the marina, a spacious lakeside patio and cozy bar. The menu is Italian driven and Acqua Restaurant always strives to source out the highest quality local ingredients. The restaurant focuses on maintaining a warm, clean and comfortable atmosphere while offering knowledgeable and attentive service that cares.
Saturday early evening found the place not busy, but it filled up as night progressed. But, first, the entrance area could be improved. We parked in adjacent garage but lighting is poor between there and the restaurant, and an incline on the drive entry with some compacted snow made for unsure footing; we were taking an 89 year old friend out. (Determined later than there is a sidewalk and steps adjacent to garage, but lighting too poor to notice and walk poorly shoveled; I think this is a City ramp so this is not on the restaurant.) Then, we were not sure how to enter the restaurant, and this is on them. Entrance is on the garage side but no evident signage to direct us.
But the food was wonderful, and that is really why we came. The bolognese was just great and the fish specials were also. Squash soup and salads done well, too. On the expensive side, our meal for three came to $165 with 2 glasses of wine.
We were seated upstairs in the back, which was fine, except it was noisy. Would suggest adding something to help muffle sound, which just bounces off the hard surfaces.

We've been here several times and have always enjoyed the food. Usually a special that's interesting but it is mostly a meat and potatoes place with special twists. The only complaint was it was quite noisy, they said they were trying to work on that.

Stopped in today got a couple Large Chocolate Malts $ 3.99 each (had a coupon 2 4 1) and today was one free cone. Consequently I sure enjoy a very special day at Dairy Queen,

I had the classic breakfast and the hash browns were swimming in oil and the bacon wasn't cooked well either. Wasn't impressed!
