Best Seafood food near Ichikai-machi, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan

Its a small entrance on your way down from Mishima station. Unassuming, off-putting for foreigners (low curtains at the entrance).Possibly the best value in town for eel... but:1. No wheel chair access - impossibly narrow stairs up to 1st floor.2. Dismal surroundings - you'll be sitting among beer crates, and a view of the kitchen services, including a dumb waiter. The staff are loud, wear low slippers (Crocs) and troop about as if they were in an army canteen. The conversationamong the staff is too loud.3. The prices are simply "OK". We paid 6000 yen for two, for basic eel on rice. NO trimmings (beer, dessert)4. The service is sullen, lacking in charm and care.Recommendations: BRUSH UP your act. Clean up, THINK of your customers. Give your staff NEW UNIFORMS, GET THEM TO STOP chattering, but to TALK in a FRIENDLY WAY to customers. After all, the restaurant is NOT cheap.
Where to eat Japanese food in Nanbu-cho: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We are located at the Atami port. Owners are local fishermen. We serve live shells, fresh fishes such as catch of the day fishes, grill, fly, baked. We specialize seafoods.
We went to this little place in Atami by the port. We had fresh sashimi which was amazing, we also had the grilled combo and sake of course. It was all delicious. Excellent find!

A street food u must try when in atami! They are served hot and huge! Assorted Flavours and we tried all that came in the sticks! FYI- there's cheese and Tako! Each was filled with delicious filings! Very long queue so be patient!

This is possibly the best-known eel restaurant in Mishima. Every day long queues form outside - people from all around come here. As Mishima is pretty near Tokyo and resort areas like Hakone and Atami, tourists come here, too.The restaurant is traditional in style, and serves excellent JAPANESE eel (constantly rising in scarcity and price!!) Chinese imports are never as tasty, and often have a rather reddish appearance, suggesting the use of chemicals to enhance their look and smell...You get what you pay for.In that sense, Sakuraya is not cheap, but it certainly offers high quality and agreeable service. When you arrive (come early) sign up on the waiting list (there's a commissionaire there to help you).
