This is one of my best Sushi bar I've ever experienced. I can still recall the taste in my mouth...! It is next to Nakamura Rykan (Inn) where I stayed and highly recommended by the way, and it's located on second floor so careful not to miss! Again, it is a must try restaurant in Japan.

I enjoyed sushi-teishoku (nigiri sushi, tempura, miso soup and side dishes) for my lunch, then went back for dinner and enjoyed eriyaki-nabe (spicy fish broth, made the local way). This is a family-fun restaurant attached to Hotel Oki very close to Beppu Port. They have an English menu!

If you are hungry and want to eat some local seafood, make sure you stop here for lunch!Nishiwaki-san and his wife will make sure you do not leave hungry.They have an English menu, which helps with communication.I recommend the SASHIMI Lunch Set.This restaurant is not open in the winter months. It is only open for lunch from spring - autumn.You can buy local souvenirs here also.
