Ōtsu (大津市, Ōtsu-shi) is the capital city of Shiga Prefecture, Japan. Ōtsu is known as the main port of Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan. It briefly served as the capital of Japan from 667 to 672 AD during the Asuka period (538 – 710). The city is home to numerous sites of historical importance, notably the temples of Mii-dera, Ishiyama-dera, and Enryaku-ji and the Hiyoshi Taisha shrine. Enryaku-ji is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto (Kyoto, Uji and Otsu Cities)". Ōtsu was incorporated as a city on October 1, 1898.

琵琶湖大橋に行く前にこちらの店で昼食をとりました。店舗はとても広く、お昼時に行ったのに待ち時間の間も数分でした。駐車場が停めにくいところがあるので注意です。

国道１号線沿いにある餃子の王将。天津飯はあんが濃厚で意外とおいしい。餃子はジャストサイズを注文。やはり通常サイズの６個入りのほうがおとくである。

Feast on a wide selection of authentic Cantonese dishes that incorporate elements of Bejing, Sichuan, and Shanghai cuisines.

Very good yet reasonably priced restaurant. The spicy Beijing soup was excellent as were the other dishes we ordered. Service was attentive and efficient. Nice atmosphere. As this was off season the restaurant closed at 8 PM, already.

所用で立ち寄った瀬田駅で、隙間時間を利用して利用しました。関西圏の店舗は味付けそのものは似たようなところはありますが、ランチメニューをはじめとする店舗限定メニューは、さすが学生の街にあるだけあって豊富です。そんなこともあり、いつもとは違う〝ペアセット+餃子〟を注文。食べ慣れた味付けはしっかりしており、なおかつ飽きないものでした。千円程で満腹になることは、やはり庶民の味方だと言っても過言ではありません♪

名神高速道路の上り線、大津SAにあるお店です。まさか、サービスエリアにも551蓬莱があるなんて思っていませんでした。サービスエリアで出来立ての豚まんを食べられるのは良いですね。ちなみにチルド商品の取り扱いもありましたよ。
