A nice hotel to stay on a trip to Florida
Reviewed By Molly DWe were heading down to Florida and chose to stay here for a night on our trip. The staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful. They gave us several options for restaurants in the area. The room was clean and we had no problems with the Internet. There were some hot items such as eggs, sausage, biscuits and coffee along with danishes and cereals for breakfast.

Reviewed By T4066Our room was clean but the door opened right into the lobby breakfast area. The breakfast wasn’t much at all. The location and parking was good. The price was a little high for an Econo Lodge but this one was cleaner than most. I usually totally avoid Econo Lodge but there weren’t many better choices in the area that I could see.

Well appointed historic house
Reviewed By macherryWe arrived at this lovely antebellum house that is currently under some renovations after the distillery tour in Lynchburg. We thought it would be interesting to stay in the area overnight instead of driving back to Nashville. We originally had the King room booked but agreed to go downstairs to the smaller Queen room due to dust from the roof reno. We didnt have our door code , as we forgot to make note of it from the confirmation email. So we rang the bell and waited until Mark , one of our hosts opened the door to let us in. he then showed us to our room and gave us an informative orientaton including some helpful suggestions for dinner restaurants. This was all fine but I was left wondering what would have happened if we had let ourselves in and did not get the orientation. I would have had several questions and there wasnt a manual or anything with information i it in the room. I have traveled extensively and ususally you get a personal greeting and orientation or there is a welcome book of some kind so you have the information you need for the stay. I never saw Mark again and we didnt meet Linda, his wife, who was very cordial and helpful on the phone. We didnt see or hear any other guests either. It was comfprtable, clean and quiet but I feel a B and B sets itself apart from hotels with the personal hosting and hospitality. This part was missing. I would like to visit again in the spring, with warmer weather and when the renovations are complete so we can have some time chatting with the owners and finding out more about this wonderful home and its history.

Reviewed By Ava OWe travel a lot but this was the most disgusting room ever. Spit on mirror, grim on walls a dead rouch hanging out of light fixture by bed. Had 2 live ones running up walls. They gave us traps for them. Placs should be condemned.
