Shaver Lake (formerly, Musick Creek and Musick Creek Heights) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Fresno County, California, United States. The population was 634 at the 2010 census, down from 705 at the 2000 census. Shaver Lake is on the southwest end of the lake of the same name, 10 miles (16 km) east of New Auberry, at an elevation of 5,627 ft (1,715 m). The name honors C.B. Shaver, founder of the Fresno Flume and Irrigation Company that built the dam, creating the lake. The lake served as a mill pond for the Shaver Sawmill and the source for a flume that ran 42 miles (68 km) to Clovis, CA. The original town of Shaver was buried under the lake when the Thomas A. Edison Company purchased and enlarged the lake in 1919. l

Located on the corner of Highway 168 and Dorabella Road in beautiful Shaver Lake Ca. All of our pizzas are freshly made to order and topped with a generous amount of toppings. We offer a variety of pizza combinations and sizes (8" mini to 18" giant!), salad, cheesy bread, wings, several import and domestic beers and more.
First meal after a 20 mile hike in the snow, so anything would've been delicious, but the pizza was pretty decent especially for a little mountain town joint. I would've given this place more stars, but the service was pretty bad. All the kids working there looked genuinely confused the whole time. Service was super slow. We ordered cookie sundaes, which were amazing, but one of the 5 different people on the register didn't give us out number, so when the girl brought the sundaes out, she had no idea where to take them. We called her over and told her they were ours, and she snapped at us condescendingly "Why don't you have your number out?!" Umm, because one of the other kids didn't give us one! Pretty rude, no apology.

The Trading Post is a delightful place. The ambiance is ideally suited for the mountain community of Shaver Lake. The menu is varied enough to please almost any diner and their service is usually excellent. This summer (my family's fourth year of camping at Edison Campgrounds) we again decided to have dinner there to celebrate the last night of our week-long camping trip. Four of us ordered steaks and to a person, everyone expressed dissapointment at the degree to which the meat had been cooked. Our requests for medium & medium-rare doneness all arrived as medium-well to well. We tend to be non-complainers (and we were hungry), so we ate what was served rather than make a fuss & send them back. Afterwards, I decided that I should alert the owners to our experience because I would like to return to the Trading Post again next year. Please... under-done is far more acceptable than over-done.

Had 2 dinners here while working in town. The ortega Chile burger and ortega chicken sandwich were both great and generous portions. I would recommend the onion rings to go with your meal. They were fantastic with thier ranch dressing. They were the main reason I went back a second time, the wonderful staff too! I'll be back soon.

The food selection is excellent, fantastic menu, a wide range of sandwiches and dishes. Ms Eva was very pleasant and friendly. The young guys was also very helpful.
The whole atmosphere made our breakfasts nice and enjoyable experience. I liked the books and the puzzles that were put there for the enjoyment of customers.
One last word, Ms Eva is an expert in making crapes, we could not get enough of them, so i ordered couple to take home.... To enjoy them later.
A must visit if you are ever in ShaverLake .... I know I'm going there again and soon.

Although this is a bar, they are family friendly. There is a separate eating area and an outdoor eating area. We are locals and go here for FANTASTIC hamburgers - made fresh to order with fresh ingredients. If you're really hungry order The Grubber hamburger that also has pastrami on it. It is a local favorite.

This is the restaurant at lakeshore resort
The selection of dishes is not so big, but the food is good
Prices are good, although the size of the portion is not so big, especially considering the U.S. Standards... But if you choose one of then main selections there is a lot of side food...
And make it sure to go to the saloon after you have dinner, in the weekend it is full of nice people and great music

The food here is very good, at least for our lunch visit! We stopped in with friends and ate on the deck overlooking the lake. Pretty setting, but make sure to watch out for any pine cones that may be above your head! I tried the Grilled salmon and veggies on Ciabatta and it was very good. Served with a light tartar and crispy french fries, the salmon was nicely cooked. My wife tried the Jalapeño Cheese Burger and she really like it. The jalapeños were sliced and grilled, a little different than the normal pickled ones. I tried it and it tasted very nice indeed. Our friends liked their sandwiches as well, one being a burger and the other being the grilled chicken.

The historic Dinkey Creek Inn has been humming along since 1930. It is a quaint mountain store that offers snacks, candy, ice cream, beverages and basic food items for campers who forgot the mustard. This summer they had a selection of wine. There are Dinkey Creek labeled items including mugs, wine glasses, hats, shirts and other clothing.
The cafe is a small counter and during hunting season a few extra tables. The fare is basic and good eating. The proprietors are great people offering victuals at a decent price.
You can also purchase gas, newspaper, and a shower at the Dinkey Creek Inn. They have older and modern cabins for rent. There is a pay phone out front which you might want to use since there is no cell service in this area.
The next time you pass through Dinkey Creek I recommend checking it out. Dinkey Creek Inn is likely to have what you need.
