Restaurant with great service, good food, and excellent environment. Ohana is restaurant with a famous chef in Kalaw and with neat and tidy table set up. Welcome from Ohana Restaurant and thank you.
We initially wanted a beef burger but they didn't have any that day. Ordered pizza instead which was ok for Asian standards. The complementary tea and peanut salad was good.
The Sisson's Restaurant is located on the ground floor of Kalaw Heritage Hotel. The restaurant is historical named after the Sisson family who has built this beautiful hotel during the British rule in 1903. Our menu is inspired by the regional sources of
It was great to have a drink on the verandah while the sun was setting behind the mountains. The cocktail was nice and they had a selection of Myanmar craftbeer! The setting is much nicer than what we have seen in other restaurants in kalaw (it's in the heritage hotel).I had a local curry and my wife a burguer. Both were great.
Halthy food
I can highly recommend this little café at main road in Kalaw. I passed there accidentally and was so happy when I received the hospitality of the owner. The breakfast there was gorgeous: fresh made Avocado smoothie, omelette with bread, marmalade (no jam!) and green tea. It was more than valuable the price. If in Kalaw, take your time and have a seat at Y II K! The best start before trekking the hills.
Welcome! We serve both Western and Asian cuisines! Drop by when you have the chance! Our menus also includes a wide variety of cocktails/mocktails and other warm beverages. Italian cuisines are also available and we are always up for a challenge! Feel fre

Stopped off for coffee and pizza. Pizza took a long time to cone and was unusual as consisted of carrots as well as cheese. Restaurant was empty when I visited so no atmosphere and surprised service was quite slow but food and drink was adequate for my needs.
Maluca Villa provides everyone with a peaceful atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Kalaw. We also offer a variety of European and traditional Danu cuisine with high-quality ingredients from both local and international suppliers

Also known as the Seven Sisters Restaurant. Listed in 2009 Lonely Planet guide for Myanmar, page 228.
The service was friendly and attentive, but we felt that the quality of the meal was average and the price was much higher than what we were accustomed to paying for a meal throughout our travels in Myanmar. Definitely caters to tourists only... no local patrons during our meal there.

Original Italian cuisine meets the flavors of Asia and Southern Shan State in a renovated Indian Godown (warehouse)dating back to 1914.
What a refreshing find on the main road in Kalaw, with great outdoor and upper terrace seating, offering a relaxing view of the daily activities of the local mountain community.East meets West with a menu offering both Shan and authentic Italian cuisine, and I was completely sold on seeing the good selection of salads made with imported Italian produce. They pride themselves in clean, fresh, chemical-free vegetables and I was presented with a huge bowl of garden-fresh greens with a generous amount of walnuts and blue cheese. We only made a brief mid-afternoon pitstop for a light snack and a local beer, but judging from the pizza clay oven, and the authentic Italian menu, this is a highly recommended restaurant for lunch or dinner in the small town of Kalaw!

A cosy restaurant that serves homemade European food, made with fresh and local ingredients. You can finish your meal with a good coffee and lovely pastery.
A beautifull small hidden place owned by a Vietnamees lady. Coffee and pizza tasted great, they also deliver (we stayed at hillock villa and were very tired so we asked and they deliverd fast a hot pizza. The lady speaks very good English and knows how to make you feel comfortable. She’s also able to explain in a passionate way what’s going on in her country and what’s need to be done. She has a very nice staff and motivates them to study and get educated. Great place and lady, a must do according to me. Next to her little restaurant she’s building a small hotel for max 10 rooms, ready around 1/1/2020Thank you very much for your review, we glad that you are happy with our service and food. We want our customers have to be happy and feel like home. We will do our best. Please come and visit again to myanmar . Hopefully, want to meet up again.Thank you very much from New Simple Life team.

Fresh homemade locally sourced food, baked goods and ice cream, a warm welcome and a comfortable place to eat, relax and play games is what we offer at Sprouting Seeds Café and Bakery. Whether it is the taste of home found in our fresh baked bread, the hi
Came here for breakfast and morning yoga and left feeling sad I wasn't able to return! Their range of vegan options was wonderful, service was great and the owner and his daughter extremely friendly. The yoga session we'd gone for was a website mistake - recent timetable changes - but the owner called the yoga instructor who came straight to the cafe to run it anyway! All four of us really enjoyed it (many were not experienced yogis) and left feeling thoroughly content. Prices are a little higher than average for the area but undoubtedly worth it for the quality of food, atmosphere and ethos of the business. Wish them the best of luck! Thanks so much for sharing your feedback for our project here in Kalaw. We are so happy that you enjoyed the yogaAnd also the food and atmosphere here at our project. All the proceeds go directly back into our projects as Sprouting Seeds is a training centre so all your support greatly helps us to offer more local support and trainings. Please come and join us again as we moved to a new location recently and have many new things to offer. Thanks again for your wonderful feedback. Hope to see you here again!!
