Akti Taverna is our favorite taverna in the area. Delicious food and a fantastic view! Taverna belongs to Fata Morgana Apartments and Paradisos Studios and there are always guests who will get fresh food. After the aperitif from the card we especially recommend the dishes of the day. Very nice service!

Lovely traditional taverna, excellent service from friendly daughter and all food was good quality. Moussaka was just ready as we ordered lunch, together with a plate of fresh fried anchovies it was just great. If you use this beach, Stacey's is your only option without transport, there again you need transport to find it. The beach is nice and private, with lovely warm sea breaking on the sandy/shingly beach front

I have just completed my first 10 years holidaying at Flisvos and hope to do many more.Why do I keep returning?-simples it has everything that I want,Wonderful peaceful setting with fabulous views,excellent food and staff(friends)The rooms are spotless and cleaned daily.This year I spent 4 consecutive weeks here and am sad to be homeAll guests are treated as friends of the family for whom nothing is too much trouble.I am bemused by the critical comments about this place and wonder whether they went to the same place that I and hundred love and return to every year.Not a place for ravers or professional moaners.

I have eaten here a few times over the past couple of years, because it is in a lovely situation, the food is good, and is good value; it is also only a few steps from the beach so you can easily leave non-valuables on the beach in view.

We tried Blue Sky as we were staying just up the road at Monachus Monachus. The toy corner should have warned us... our children are now adults but even when they were young would not have run around all the tables in a restaurant. The food was good, Hubby had one of the biggest steaks I have ever seen in my life and it was delicious- however we would not return due to feeling like we were in an unsupervised crèche!! The dinner was a good â¬10 dearer than any of the other tavernas we visited in the area.Thank you so much

This is a nice family run taverna on the cliff beside theParadisos and Fate Morgana developments. (Not sure that some of the less complimentary reviews are talking about the same place).We dined there on our first night. Attentive and friendly water, delicious fresh fish, beautifully cooked, very drinkable wine for a very reasonable 30 Euros for two. Will definitely go back.

Came back to this beautiful small taverna and had two splendid dinners here. It was nice to meet the friendly owner and his son again. Their hospitality is outstanding. The food was excellent as ever! And the local raki from Kallikrates: great and 'soft'. To our opinion this is one of the best taverna's on Crete, and we have visited many in the last 17 years (and 28 trips on Crete) The whole 'package' you get at Kali Kardia is outstanding: the simple but awesome tasting food, the hospitality, the kindness, the atmosphere in the garden and also the value for money.. Love it!

We have been here twice and each time the ambiance food and service were excellent. The young waiter with the glasses was superb. He was brilliant at describing the many and varied specials( which included an excellent choice of veggie options) and also very informative about the area and places to go and see. Saturday night is grill/ barbecue night and he encouraged us to come and also attend the adjacent beach bar for live music. Both were excellent and good value for money and although we reserved specific tables, they were very accommodating and had already changed the tables allocated due to the high winds which would have caused some discomfort at the originally requested table. First class.

We had dinner twice in Oasis during the past weekend and both times were equally excellent. First of all the location is great especially during sunset with a wonderful view of the sea and mountains. The staff is very polite and helpful and the overall service spotless. The food is excellent both the grill and the cooked plates. We had aubergines (called "papoutsakia" ) which were very tasty, pork steak and fresh tuna steak. All excellent and according to my wife that had the tuna, it was probably the best she had ever eaten! So, I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone visiting Fragkokastello!

We visited this restaurant twice in our 9 day stay in Frangocastello. The food was very good and well presented. A taste sensation was the tirkafteri starter which is a feta cheese dip with chilli. The location is great next to the beach. The only slight quibble is the owner is the only one taking orders and although very attentive if the restaurant is busy it means you may have to wait a while before being served. However you are on holiday in a beautiful place so just relax the wait will be worth it.
