Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Mahe Island. The Seychelles largest and main island, Mahe is home to the capital of Victoria and about 70,000 people (almost 90% of the nation's total). Still, the island retains its idyllic beauty, with 3,000-foot mountains and scores of gorgeous beaches. Many plants, including the so-called Jellyfish Tree and several rare orchids, are unique to Mahe's shores. The Seychelles Natural History Museum, the Botanical Gardens and the Codevar Craft Centre, all in Victoria, are not to be missed.

First time at La Fontaine restaurant the place is good. Delicious fresh fish served there.SCR 250 for a grilled fish is a bit high as fish is not scarce here. SCR 195 for chicken and chips, the quantity is really more than enough. The pizza also is yummy. The Lady who served us was friendly after we started joking with her.Looking forward to going there again to try other specialities grom the menu.
Having missed lunch and arriving quite late at our accommodation which was located some 3 Kimâs up the road from the nearest restaurant, our very obliging hostâs daughter kindly offered to drive us to an eatery that was thought would fill the stomach void but as it turned out, the particular establishment she had in mind turned out to be closed. Having just passed the Kapataya en route and liking the looks of the place we ended having a totally unplanned dinner there. We were spoilt for choice on the cocktails on offer but decided on a Mai Tai and a Mojito. A delicious shared starter of a chicken tikka with an amazing dipping sauce set the standard of what was to come. Rack of Lamb for madam and Roast Duck for myself. The first platter of duck breast came as Peking style, with pancakes, hoisin etc. which was followed onto the table by a totally unexpected dish comprising of the rest of the duck carcass in a stir fry vegetable stew plus a boiled rice accompaniment . Even though we were both famished on entering, this extremely tempting dish had to go in the doggy bag to be enjoyed at another sitting.Friendly attentive staff and to cap it all you are in tasteful surroundings overlooking the glorious bay.
We are travelling from United Kingdom London and had the best Spaghetti Prawns,Bolognese and Carbonara we ever had in months. The Place is clean warmth and welcoming. The service was on point with a smile. The espresso/ cappuccino was tasteful and the mix fruit juice was fresh.I will recommend Da Lydias Caffetteria to all who wants to have great Italian food and drinks for reasonable prices.Keep up the good work team Da Lydia.Best of luck for the future!

Offering indoor and outdoor seating, we ensure that you enjoy direct sea views accompanied by the gentle lilting sound of the waves lapping on the shore, while savouring our wide selection buffet.
Thought we would try this on the first night as it was next to us, it was local night with a band playing why was quite good, the food also was good with plenty of choices and plenty of food for a buffet. The only downside was having to pay for still water, itâs the only place I have ever paid for water.Dear 432barrya,Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted that your dining experience was wonderful. Your feedback on the water will be shared with the Management.Regards,Gerard

We stayed at the Savoy so used Pescado, the hotel restaurant a few times. We were pleasently surprised with the quality of the food, well prepared, well presented and delicious. The staff were very friendly and efficient and we really enjoyed our meals in Pescado. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. Fresh fish was displayed and you could pick what you wanted and how you wanted it cooked, which we thought was great.Very happy in general. A great place for a lovely meal.

Considering the prices in the Seychelles it was not that expensive. Service is good and food quality was great. It is well located and place looked very simple at first (considering it was not creole restaurant or inexpensive) and the food made the difference.

We looked for a quick night closing since we werenât too hungry and I found this great place via trip advisor. The place is really unique and blends perfectly with the beach. The pizzas are very good in a very reasonable price. Not recommended for a fancy formal dinner tough...

Italian/mediterranean cuisine with a touch of Creole flavour in a fantastic setting without forgetting an unforgettable sunset enjoyed with a fabulous cocktail . We strive for outstanding service giving our customers a memorable all round cullinary experi
They make a really big effort to make the setting lovely (tiki torches, candles). Very popular sunset spot. The food is not too expensive for the view you get and the food is really good. The staff are very attentive and nice too.A lovely treat!

La Scala Restaurant is one of the best ones which I have tried and truly appreciated everything...The Place is really well situated with parking facilities...Right from the beginning as soon as i entered the restaurant, the Lady was welcoming and she eventually was the one who took our reservation...The Lady who took our orders was really helpful and very friendly...The other waiters were very attentive.Hats off to the Chef...The food served was simply Wow...One of the most delicious Fish Starter i had and thoroughly enjoyed it...n will definitely come back again for more. The main course also is really worthwhile...had Tagliatelle Scala and it was cooked to perfection...My husband had a grilled Fish n that too was yummy. This place deserves a 5 star as right from the doorstep you feel welcome and to top it off the Chef works wonders...I highly recommend this place and looking forward to my next dinner. This place opens only for dinner and reservations must be made.

We had starters and main courses and had mixed responses. The Carpacio all'itallia (SCR195) was a perfect combination of beef & parmesan etc., however the carpaccio wasabi (raw fish & wasabi from a tube)SCR200, was underwhelming on the flavour side. The portions were generous though. The seared tuna tagliata (SCR385) was well prepared, but wasabi from a tube was disappointing. The veal ham & mushroom (SCR455) also lacked flavour. However the service was very good & friendly. We would not have returned though.
