This restaurant was one of the top recommendations by tripadvisor close to the hotel we stayed in. They advertise with their famous duck dishes so we went for it only to get disappointed.
The grilled duck arrived just 5minutes after we ordered which indicated that the food is pre-prepared and not really freshly cooked. The duck was dry and tough and a small portion. My colleague had the roast chicken and confirmed our impression of the not so good taste experience. Unfortunately, the tough impressions continued with the beef satay we ordered which were not tender at all.
On the positive side I can mention that the interior is really nice and the staff is very friendly. The service was fast and they server beer.

I went there for a small reunion with my college friends. Service was excellent and food was delicious! The only thing I didn't enjoy much is the drinks. I ordered the vegetable juice (supposedly it is choy sum, pineapple and lemon). It tasted so "RAW" . The other drink I ordered was Calpico, Orange and something else. But the food in general was great...

Went to the restaurant on Jalan Raya Serpong on night of 23 March 2013 with my wife. The restaurant is one of our favorite, we have been regular customer since 2008. Ordered a package for three person (two medium size , chili sauce/saus padang male crabs, one medium size grilled fish bumbu rica-rica & one sauteed watercress/tumis kangkung) plus one order of blood cockle/kerang darah and two drinks.
While we were waiting for our order to arrive, we took advantage of the free flow crab soup/sup kepiting (we liked it!). We didn't have to wait long for our orders to arrive. First came the blood cockle/kerang darah. The cockle was of good size & fresh, and we liked the sauce (tasted fresh). Then came the rest. The crabs were fresh & medium size, and I liked the saus padang. For us the sauce was good & not too spicy. We'd like it even more if the cooks had thrown mix of eggs into the sauce (like they did it around two-three years ago). We also liked the grilled fish (the fish is called ikan ayam-ayam because the meat texture and taste like chicken), the fish & rica-rica sauce tasted just right. My wife liked the sauteed watercress a lot.
The atmosphere is okay, good for friends/family gathering. The restaurant has three Seating spaces: one in air-conditioned room and two open-air style. The service is okay & quite fast. But the best thing is the bill: for our orders, the total was under IDR 150.000. We are very pleased with our experience and would recommend this restaurant for family/friends gathering.
Our tips:
- Come to the restaurant during weekends to get the free flow crabs soup/sup kepiting.
- Come early/ make reservation because the restaurant can be crowded.
- If you come to the Raya Serpong outlet, pick the open-air seatings (the air-con room is not cool enough & can be smoky from the food).
- Ask for the packaged menu/menu paket (they have packaged menu for 3/6/12 persons).
What we liked the best:
+ Good price!
+ Fresh seafood
+ Good tasting meals/dishes
What we liked the least:
- Air/con room not cool enough

For anyone who has not tried Soto Betawi, this is the very best. They have two types, the one that where the lean beef chunks are boiled and another type where the beef is fried which is my favourite. The soup is perfect, very delicious and better than other places that I have tried. They also opened a branch in Bandung where we also go to get a taste of this restaurants delicious soto betawi.

Yes..its meatballs..not only meat ball..
Jawir was well known for its delicious meatballs, of course you should eat it Indonesian ways..
It means that the meatballs will be served in a clear soup, that has been enriched with meatstocks so it will be a little bit greasy..but delicious!

Went there as i was looking for the particular village style dining. Ordered soft bone chicken with salted egg, tumis daun dewa, and deep fried squid w mayonaise for 3 person. The chicken was somehow unappealing , after 3 bites then it felt like the food had become an obligation to finish it.
Won't come back as there are many other much better indonesian restaurant with much better taste and definitely cheaper, in the area.

First time here, recommendation from my wife, located inside pasar modern bsd, no too big considering the Seating arrangement but quite cozy to hang out here, lots of books and children board games, their coffee is fantastic! Good flavor, you can see the build process and the staff is very nice , recommended for the coffee lover
