NOT the 2014-16 eurodive establishment under that name. Now refitted African run and a local music based meeting and socialising spot. Remarkably rather Afro-family orientated and you will see some of the local de moda better dressers boy and girl. A disappointment food wise, I was served a rather overpriced over cooked half chicken at D225, better to drop the food and stick to a lively bar theme. Comes alive after 10 with the drop in crowd, friendly and chatty 20's 30's set. To an extent picking up the theme of the now demised and missed regee bar Dufflaz a few doors down. Has a similar oil paint art work interior, worth a look at in itself. Cross the highway at Palma Rima Hotel and walk up Kololi Road past the well lit pharmacy, you will see the lights and hear the music. But a local taxi will find it with ease.

Intimate bar and restaurant specialising in English and Traditional Gambian dishes. Open from breakfast till bedtime every day. Join us for a delisious meal, bar snack or a cold drink and a big Gamian welcome
We ate twice at this restaurant, first time just a snack at lunchtime which was fine, but after that it went downhill rapidly! We were not the only people who had to wait an hour for our food, and the chef even came out on one occasion ranting and raving and shouting at customers saying that he couldn't perform miracles, at which point the owner got up and left the restaurant. No apology, nothing!! When the food did eventually arrive, it was of poor quality. There were many other disgruntled customers. The English owner and his wife showed no interest whatsoever in the customers and was quite happy to sit and enjoy his drink. In fact he completely ignored customers, and couldn't even say thank you or goodbye to them as they were leaving. How rude! This probably explains why on many occasions the restaurant was empty whilst all the others were full. You reap what you sow!Can assure you the owner never knowingly walks away from problems. I really don't recall this incident. If it was around the 6th my wife was admitted to hospital so I was in and out. The chef from that time is no longer with us because he had "anger issues" we discovered.

Bar On Palma Rima Road Kololi Gambia
This was our third visit to Gambia and we returned to Churchills where we spent a lot of time in the past. Unfortunately the food was disappointing and it somehow lacked atmosphere, not as we remembered. Sunday roast very poor roast potato's like leather.

We ate at the Calypso four times and also visited for the live music on Sunday afternoon. If you are a guest at the Ocean Bay Hotel next door you will consider yourselves extremely fortunate to have such a fantastic restaurant on your doorstep. The food was delightful and the staff just lovely. Go once and I bet you'll go again.

Cabana's Beach Bar & Restaurant is the perfect setting for a day on the beach with excellent food, free sunbeds and free wifi. In the evening it is the perfect location for your a la carte dinner whilst watching the beautiful sunset
This place offers free sunbeds when buying food and drinks. Excellent fresh cooked meal, in my opinion the best Iâve eaten in the Gambia. Cold draft beer on the +35C sunny beach is magnificent experience! Excellent and very friendly beach and food service! All intrusive sellers are banned by the guards and this is especially important in the Gambia tourist areas. Excellent ocean view, unbelievably beautiful at sunset. Three times a week they have live music, not loud, not disturbing (as opposite to many other places featuring loud drums), so you can still relax while they are playing. The only minus is that property is relatively small, so most of the time beach is crowded, most of âgood placesâ are being reserved by that bunch of oldies spending there every day so you have not a chance to get a good place no matter how early you come there. We were visiting this place many times a week and were always happy with food and service.Thank you for your feedback. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your time with us. It's our first year running Cabana's so all feedback is very useful. We will ensure that the beach is more accessible to everybody next year and beds will be allocated on a first come first served basis which is fair for everybody. We hope to see you again very soon.

At GTS our aim is to ensure customer satisfaction every time. We serve from 8 am and close 4 am every day. Our services include breakfast lunch dinner and snack menus. Always ask your waitress for the daily specials. Our bar serves till 4 am with a DJ pla
Probably the closest you will come to local food - they serve Domada, Benechin, Yassa - all given a European twist and served very well - also the Captain Fish with lime sauce is equally good - service is very friendly and good if not busy. The only downside - very loud live music comprising 90% drumming starts at about 9-ish - this may be attractive to some - but not if you have unimpaired hearing!!!
