A very pleasant experience was had on a quiet mid-week evening, there were quite a few locals in the restaurant and a good selection of Thai food was on offer. I had the grilled salmon which was a large portion and excellently cooked, with a Thai curry sauce and rice, the portion was excellent as was the service. Top marks.

Great service, excellent pasta and decent prices. We all had pasta and every dish was excellent. Portions were a good size without being too much. The house wine was very good.

A lovely, calm place located only 5 minutes from the A7, Hittfeld. Our guests enjoy their stay on our Terrace by the water or in front of the fireplace inside the restaurant. We offer fresh German regional and seasonal food in a beautiful atmosphere.
This restaurant considered as best restaurant in this area by Michelin guide 2015-2017, the location is very nice with the lake and garden.i feel more in tropical country in Summer than in mid Europe. Nicely choose vegetation surroundings make the place even better. We came for dinner and since this area are best for forelle fish, we order grilled forelle with tomato soup as starter, the soup was ok but the grilled forelle is amazing with aioli sauce and chimi churi even better the taste like melting in the mouth. The Apple crumble in dessert menu is good thing to choose also! It was great experience to dinner there and all staff is very friendly. The price bit high but for the experience is worth.

During my last visit to Germany I came across this little marvel just outside of Hamburg. The Restaurant is part of an old mill next to a river. The food is exceptional. Mostly local ingredients
(Bratkartoffeln, Schinken, Roastbeef etc.) The atmosphere is very cosy and old fashioned with dining room build from original beames. A must for any traveller

We arrived at 7:30pm on a Friday; the place was full with one waiter working the 15 tables. We thought we arrived after rush-hour, boy we were wrong!
Our food arrived almost one hour later, the service is that slow. Terrible!
The food was really good we all agreed - great taste, big portions and inexpensive. But with that service I would look for somewhere else to eat - unless you have lots of time.

Central located nice and cozy restaurant. Closed on Mondays, different lunch menues, which are very good. Coffee and cakes are available in the afternoon, which are also quite good.

Firstly this place is a great find if you want to get out of Hamburg and more into the village scene (about 30mins south of Hamburg).
This is (I think) mainly a location for locals and while very welcoming, but a bit "off the beaten track" and there was no English menu so polish up on your German (or take a friend that speaks German like I did). The wait staff also speak English and are happy to help you make choices.
The food was very nice and the wine was lovely. I think one of the main points for this restaurant was the setting, a lovely garden setting that you can dine in. I was lucky enough to visit on a beautiful evening around 8pm with the temperature in the mid 20's (the place seemed idillic).
