There seems to be a new team in place or maybe ownership. NIce people but the service was slow. The worse part was, the food is different. My favorite hot open Turkey sandwich is now Turkey roll with warm gravy. So sad to see this happen here.
Please bring back the old food and chef.

The staff seems like every order is a challenge and that the menu is new to them. Yet the Nova Man is delicious and if you want a great bagel this place will meet your requirements. Just be prepared for slow service .

Their burgers are simple and delicious, cheese, pickles, fine diced onions on a seeded bun, the flavor of the beef is really good so you don't need to do much. The line can look intimidating like you'd be waiting forever but there are actually 4 lines open and you wont be waiting long. I've never waited longer then 5 minutes. Be aware that it is cash only. I suggest parking on the street or across in the parking lot to eat the burgers while they are hot.

This restaurant, Sergio and his staff are AMAZING! I have been to Cara Mia a few times for dinner during the week and on Saturday nights and have NEVER been disappointed. When looking for a venue for my daughter's bridal shower I went to quite a few places and Sergio's personal, well-mannered touch made our decision easy. The classy, Italian décor and good food & service iis what we were looking for and we got so much more! Being neurotic I called him numerous times to ask about set up, the food, cake, etc. and he was always calm, polite and so accommodating make me feel like nothing was a problem. Her shower was this past Saturday, 3/11/17 and it was more than we ever expected. From the minute we walked in to set up, they supported us in every way possible and made everything so easy. Needless to say the food was never ending, delicious and Sergio and his staff are the simply BEST. This was such a special day for my family Cara Mia made us feel like family.

I forgot our waitress' name. But she was great. We ate their on a Friday night but around 5. We were seated right away. It is small so tables I am sure fill up quickly. It looks like you can eat outside there was a patio with tables and a heater. It was not opened when we were there. My husband and I wanted a quick meal since our son was down the block at a movie party. We had the studded mushrooms for an appetizer. They were so good. I ordered pasta with shrimp and mushrooms and my husband had the carbonara. Could not ask for anything better. Bread came with the meal and we were asked many times if we wanted more. Price is right.

This is one of my favorite bakeries. It has classic Italian cookies and pastries that are delicious.
They are angels and very accommodating. I was going away for the weekend with a group of friends to celebrate a BIG birthday and wanted a tray of chocolate covered strawberries to eat with champagne on our trip. All the chocolate stores said it was out of season, so no strawberries. I decided to stop here and get some small cookies or petit fours instead. When I told them what was going on, they offered to get strawberries and make them for me right then. Iy was less than 20 minutes and they plated them and made them look incredible. All my friends were impressed with the beautiful presentation and we toasted the year with great champagne and chocolate strawberries on our trip.
Thank you Capri for making my birthday celebration a success!

Bacaro serves very good Italian food.. The portions are large and very fairly priced..
On weekends its very crowded and the service can be very erratic, had to ask 3x for water and additional bread etc.
The food comes out fast because they like to have a quick turnover.. This can be annoying if you want to sit and chat with friends.
Also has a bar scene and it can get LOUD in that area..
BTW - if you want a weekend reservation, call TWO weeks ahead.
Enjoy !!

Welcome to Thom Thom...Where Great Taste is Only the Beginning! Our new steak and seafood menu is sizzling with so many deliciously grilled delights you won’t know where to start! All yours to savor in our stylishly casual dining room, along with contemporary cocktails, decadent desserts and just-right service. All the makings of a Manhattan hot spot without the Manhattan prices! And we’re nearby, only a few steps north of the Wantagh train station.
My husband and I dined at Thom Thom last Saturday evening with another couple. We had an early reservation, 6:15, so the place was almost empty. Everything should have been perfect, but it was not. We had eaten at this restaurant once before, but it was many years ago. We did not recall much about it, and the friends with whom we dined moved close to Wantagh and made the reservation. We were fine with trying it again so many years later.
The decor was pleasant enough. The bar, upon leaving, we noticed looked like a decent scene with a nice atmosphere.
We were seated immediately. My husband ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and sent it back. He is not a very particular eater/drinker overall, and he found it to be a bad selection. He thought it had turned, I just thought it was a crappy wine...not certain which one, but neither is a good situation for a wine drinker.
My husband ordered a sushi roll from the chef's special section of the menu, the crazy tuna. He did not find it to be special at all. For $17, a roll should be somewhat special. He ate it, but did not think it was very good. He eats sushi at times, from Wild By Nature supermarket. He said this was pretty much in line with that! Sad, really.
I ordered two salads, as the server said the salad portions were not large enough to act as an entree. I had one as an appetizer and one for dinner. I had the apple and gorgonzola for a starter and enjoyed it. I ordered the grilled romaine salad as an entree. I decided to have grilled shrimp added, as the server suggested a protein add on. That was a big mistake. Although the salad was pretty good, the shrimp were not. I am getting wise in my old age, I guess, as instead of trudging through, I sent the shrimp back immediately. Why pay for overly salty shrimp with a weird consistency? Obviously, these were inferior quality shrimp.
My friend had the grilled shrimp entree. She ate much of it, but did complain about the shrimp too. She is generally easy to please and does not like to make a fuss. After several glasses of wine, she does not care too much as she just wants to eat dinner. Her standards for wine are fairly simple as well..if it is an Italian Pinot Grigio, she is happy. She got that at Thom Thom.
She and her husband shared the calamari appetizer and seemed to enjoy it. Her husband had the petite filet mignon and seemed pleased with that as well. He is a small eater so the size was good for him.
My husband ordered chicken caprese, which I believe was on the special list. He was underwhelmed at best.
Our server was very nice and helpful, but aside from that, the four of us agreed that Thom Thom is only So So.

I have lived in Massapequa for 10 years and while I do prefer Marshall's over the local Carvel they have gotten out of hand over the years when it comes to portions. it's gotten to the point where they weigh the ice cream it has to be exact and they give you half empty cups and count the number of twists on a cone.
Tonight I decided to post a review because I was so pissed off when I left. I bought a medium cup of soft ice cream for my daughter and asked for extra chocolate chips.....the chocolate chips barely covered the ice cream in the cup. I got my son a mega mix which costs almost 6 dollars it came in a small 20 ounce cup and the ice cream was about an inch and a half from the top of the cup. It really is unbelievable and what should I do argue with people on line....no I'll talk with my feet and choose the local Dairy Queen next time at least they give you what you pay for. If you want to keep raising prices you can fix the place up a little too.
