Scranton, at the center of the Lackawanna River Valley and nestled between the Pocono and Endless Mountains, is surrounded by nature. Just ten miles from the city is Lackawanna State Park, where visitors are welcome to sail or ice skate across the 198-acre Lackawanna Lake. But there's no need to leave the city to enjoy the great outdoors. Nay Aug Park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, and includes a zoo, a museum, two Olympic sized swimming pools and a great gorge topped with a treehouse.

Modern amenities and vintage architecture bridge the gap between the past and present at Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel Scranton, situated within walking distance of The University of Scranton, the Mohegan Sun Arena and the Steamtown National Historic Site. Originally a French Renaissance-style train station opened in 1908, our hotel retains its historic charm while providing contemporary accommodations. Guests appreciate our proximity to The Marketplace at Steamtown, located in the heart of the Historic District, and McDade Park, only five miles away. You can also access the ski slopes, stores and water rides at Montage Mountain with a 16-minute drive south, and our free shuttle can take you to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP).
We were excited for our stay in a hotel built from a train station. The building and architecture was lovely but the room and facilities were, unfortunately, outdated and the beds were uncomfortably soft. The evening we stayed, there were multiple big events at the hotel and they were terribly understaffed resulting in a long wait for check-in and check-out. Overall, a great place to walk through if in Scranton, but I would not stay here again.

We really enjoyed the comfort of this Hampton Inn. The hotel was kept in great shape and the staff was so nice. The two ladies on the front desk when I checked in were very accommodating for my needs.

I have ALS and stayed in a handicap room for 4/29/22. Because we are members for 30 years my wife ask for an extended stay until 12 noon. She was told no problem. When we received our bill via email we noticed we were charged for the following night although we have a receipt from the hotel we actually stayed in. We were told that they had no video to show we left because there video wasn’t working but they showed someone used our key late at night.

After driving for 6 hours I tried to check into this hotel and was told that my room had been given away that they were over booked. I'm a Marriott Gold elite customer. My reservation was booked through their website and confirmed. Ended up with a queen bed in a handicapped room. My husband is 6'3". The clerk at the desk said to take a couple of free waters and she would add 1000 bonvoy points to my account and I would receive an email confirming this in 5 minutes. It never arrived. Checking out the next morning I once again expressed my displeasure to the clerk on duty also adding the the points were never added and the hotel is disgustingly run down and dirty. I stayed on the 3rd floor and the ceiling in the dingy hallway was waterstained and dirty. This clerk said the manager was not there but she had to call her and she would let me know what she said. I had breakfast and she said that she was sorry and her manager said she would credit me 10,000 points on Monday when she came back to work. NEVER HAPPENED! If this is the way they treat folks that are loyal to their brand I can't imagine how they treat others. I will never stay in this location and I recommend that thete are a lot of other hotels in the area you should check them out.

One night stay without reservations. Room was a little pricey considering the location. Wood floors make for less sleep if the room over you keeps pacing the floors. Breakfast was the real disappointment. Of course, I am finding breakfast going downhill in other Fairfield's as well. One elevator accessed in a narrow hallway where 2 people cannot get by each other.

Upon checking in to the Residue Inn Scranton, the experience went south from there. While the most of this review will be decidedly terrible there are 4 exceptional employees, kudos to the following employees who continually put up with lack luster working and living environment (Erin, Michael, Diane, Tanya) this review does not depict our experience with you. So....here goes 3 times since August 8th 2021, the fire department has been dispatched to this particular hotel. Faulty wiring? ruptured sprinkler pipes in CLOSED TIL FURHTEER NOTICE POOL AREA. Mind you the pool has been closed for nearly a year for a mysterious part that takes a year to assemble. (an honest quote from hotel GM Patricia B.)Even though the pool is listed on the hotels website as an amenity there is no reduction in room price since they obviously have no intention of an immediate repair. Each weekend even though the hotel inside is a no smoking venue the fowl odor of low grade marijuana can be detected from whatever room particular hotel assistant management can offer their acquaintances as a perk. The dryers are at best 50% operational even though management states that there is only 1 broken out of 4 pictures listed below will reflect otherwise. The parking lot is abysmal and due to recent ice events it has minimal 5" to 7" of hard ice matts that have had no attempts to de-ice because it is still cold outside (once again an actual quote from hotel GM Patricia B.) Most of the hotels first floor is missing roof tiles due to a water leak weeks before which caused subsequent potable water to have large amounts of sand deposited...even though the repair was to be on circulating water lines for heat exchangers not linked to potable lol. The breakfast bar which offers bagels and bananas has the same bagels and I mean the SAME bagels and the SAME bananas until the skin literally rots off the banana or they are too mushy to actually stabilize themselves on the counter. Upon calling the Marriott complaint line the Kelly whose last name was not available said I should just ask for fresh bananas....wow...bright one there folks. The overall with this hotel is the GM Patricia B. is probably showing great profit margin due to near to no money going out for maintenance. GREAT JOB PATRICIA!!! Your hospitality skills are unmatched. Folks I generally haver better things to do with my time but after the resolutions offered for these issues I feel you should be warned before you waste your had earned money on this rat hole of a hotel provided by Marriott.

We checked in and checked out!!! What a disgusting filthy squalid place. The photos on the web site are complete misrepresentations. The floors were dirty. The smell of smoke and ammonia was overwhelming. There were holes in the walls. Truly the most revolting hotel I have ever seen.
