Great family run restaurant, decent menu for all strengths of curries, we had starters and a mild chicken and a hot lamb curry which were both excellent. We bought a bottle of red at a nearby supermarket for a fiver as we knew the premises does not have a license so again excellent value. Would happily recommendHello thereGreat review, thank you so much! Judge for yourselves but all I can say is if any restaurant thinks sending out undercooked chicken to their customers they should be shut downHad lots of amazing meals from here in the past but this is the worst meal I've ever had and the worstcustomer service I have ever experiencedBest Indian in Midlothian I beg to differ I'd hate to see the worstAVOID UNLESS YOU WANT FOOD POISONINGHi, thanks for your feedback, however we are unable to verify any of the information you have described.Only 1 review on your TripAdvisor account - review seems fake and from a competitor. We have been established since 2002 and have excellent levels of hygiene, we never undercook our food. Our recent 5-star reviews which speak for themselves and show why we are Midlothian's favourite Indian rated by customers.

Went here after researching on tripadvisor. The restaurant was extremely clean and the staff very friendly. All four of us agreed that all of our meals were top quality and good portions, we would all highly recommend this establishment and will return the next time we are in Edinburgh

Edinburgh's Voujon, translated as invitation to dine, has been serving Indian and Bengali food in the Newington area of the city since 2005. The bright, airy and contemporary dining area, complete with simple floral displays and leather seating which invi
Really good menu with a wide choice, and while dishes had plenty of flavour they were mercifully lacking in excessive grease or fat - which Indian food can be prone towards. Good staff too. The restaurant looks fresh, modern and with some lovely large lamp shades hanging from the ceiling. Why I do not give it excellent is that those beautiful soft large lamps were not on, and instead there was very harsh bright lighting from the ceiling. This robbed the restaurant of any ambience. So easily remedied. And maybe that night whoever was in charge didn't realise how important lighting is. Otherwise an excellent evening.Dear TiggyWalkerFirst of all thank you very much for choosing to dine at voujon. Our Voujon family is truly happy to read your constructive review on TripAdvisor regarding your dining experience at Voujon. The way you praised our food and hospitality is given us great joy. Many thanks for your instruction and kind information about lighting issue which we will definitely look into. Our intention is always to improve and meet customer expectation. We extend a warm welcome to you from everyone at The Radhuni. We are based in Loanhead, minutes from Straiton Shopping Centre and IKEA. We are Midlothian's Premier Indian Restaurant, founded in 2011 and a reasonable 15-20 minute drive from Edinburgh City
Ordered a delivery expecting a fantastic meal giving the awards and reviews but was deeply disappointed. The meal came with no rice as ordered and when I called to try resolve the issue I was fronted by a rude mannered man who refused to send the rice without further payment and said we would need to wait as the driver was on other deliveries. The food was already cold at this point, it was watery out of a packet consistency and very bland! Lesson learnt, cook that Sunday meal saves paying over the odds for below basic food and dodgy bellies all round!Hi HappyRoamin,Thank you for your feedback. We have taken this seriously and have investigated the matter. After the telephone discussion with you on the night, your original order came to approx £40.00, in which you ordered 2 pilau rice and 3 Chapattis. You then cancelled one of the rices and the 3 chappatis and your order then came to £32.00.You then received your order and you phoned back to say you are missing a rice. That was the rice that you cancelled. As you cancelled the rice in the first order we did not charge you for this. We were more than willing to take the cost and send the driver out to you again with the rice as long as you had paid for the rice. However, as you had decided not to pay we were therefore not happy in giving you a free rice. You had in fact, said that it is ânot your problemâ if you cancelled and then again ordered rice without paying for it. As it was not your problem, this means it was also not our problem as we will not give any customer a dish for free. Sorry that your experience was not commensurate with your satisfaction. Next time, before ordering please do look at the menu and also the prices which give a clear indication of how much your meal will cost and you can subsequently order as per your budget. Thank you once again for your continuous support and loyalty. Kind regards, Habibur Khan

Multi-Award winner Bombay Lounge is truly highly recommended. Situated in Dalkeith, Edinburgh this Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant really made me miss home. On arrival for our 7 pm booking, we were greeted by friendly staff. Once seated, Michael Singh (owner of the restaurant) came over and introduced himself and welcomed us. What a vibrant man, for an owner to be working side by side with his staff and connecting with his guest, is the #1 secret in bringing your guest back time and time again. Within seconds our friendly waiter provided our menu's. We not only had an amazing dinner but the close attention to detail, cleanliness and service were of top quality. So glad my sister chose Bombay Lounge, being away from home for more than 2 months I really missed my Durban, SA curry and I enjoyed the best curry ever last night. As an ex-hospitality industry owner, I experience once again the love and passion an owner has for his restaurant, staff and guests. Thank you once again for a lovely meal and evening.

I was recommended to eat here by my host at Rathan House, B + B. A smart restaurant, with freshly starched, white tablecloths and a pleasant ambience. I enjoyed a mild lamb curry (can't recall exactly which one) with spinach bajee. Good food, well-presented. I accompanied it with a pint of Kingfisher.Had a long chat with the proprietor who knew Cambridge well - my nearest city. A very pleasant, straightforward man.Strongly recommended.Hello John, it was a pleasure to host you and I'm glad you had an excellent experience at Itihaas. Many thanks for taking time out to review Itihaas and write such wonderful compliments. All the best and look forward to a future visit on your return. Thank you.
