Relatively new venture and trying hard to offer good food in simple settingDeserted when we visited last weekend for late lunch(3pm) so service was quick and food good - plenty of specials available in addition to standard menu -soup/pie of the day Food fresh and tasty however no ambience at all. Perhaps evening would be busier though only open till 9.30pm

A contemporary, buzzy brasserie offering a casual, yet quality dining experience specialising in seafood and steak. Inspired by a traditional Grill House and promoting Scotlandâs finest seasonal ingredients with a twist of international flavours, Sands Gr
My wife and I visited the Sands Grill with Friends on Saturday the 14th. We were very impressed by the hotel and our accommodation and had high expectations for the restaurant. Unfortunately, the meal wasn't to the same standard as everything else we had experienced to that point. I had the cauliflower soup which I had to send back, I thought it was awful and I just couldn't eat it. I then had the rib eye steak with peppercorn sauce. The young waitress asked who was having peppercorn and I replied asking what type of steak did she have. She didn't know and had to ask one of her colleagues. The steak was so charred that it had a pronounced taste on the steak that left an unpleasant taste. Overall, I thought the service was slow and overly expensive for what was on offer. I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back.

St Andrews Bar & Grill is set upon a spectacular cliff-top with stunning panoramic views over both our Championship Golf Courses and St Andrews Bay. Serving traditional golfer fayre by day and the finest Scottish steak and seafood by night, Fairmont St An
For dinner our first night at the Fairmont St. Andrews we visited this restaurant. Itâs an easy walk from the hotel and a shuttle is also available in case of inclement weather. Views are stunning from all sides of the restaurant, and theyâve maximized them with floor to ceiling glass windows on three sides. Watch the sunset and have your photo taken between starter and main course! We found the food to be good â not the best weâve ever had but still very good. Presentation is excellent and service was also excellent. If you enjoy seafood youâll appreciate the choices. My husbandâs steak was a bit overdone but my Plaice was cooked perfectly.Homemade gelato from a family owned gelateria in town is served for dessert (along with other options too). If you like gelato you have got to try it - it was fantastic. We enjoyed our meal overall and the company of other equally giddy golfers. No need to be too dressed up here - some come straight from the course and others simply change into slacks or jeans.

We are a family run fish bar and restaurant. We have been in the fish business for four generations and we hope to keep the family tradition going. All our fish is locally sourced and is as fresh as can be. We have our own fish house based in Arbroath, Wh
We had the best ever bread-crumbed haddock and tasty chips here - huge portions, incredible VFM and friendly, efficient service. Don't know how they make the breadcrumbs so different, kept crispy dry and so tasty, but they do! We returned for another meal another day, when hubby loved the salmon option, Very impressed and could not recommend highly enough. You MUST book ahead for a table (they do take out and eat in) for Friday and Saturday pm's.

The Seafood Ristorante is located in St Andrews most iconic venue with views that will take your breath away. Traditionally an all seafood restaurant but now has the right amount of Italian flair though its dishes to give you an authentic feel while sitti
Set menu for 16 golfers at the end of our trip. They put us at two tables for 8, but directly beside each other. Fantastic food and presentation of all courses. Staff were very attentive and professional. Location is almost directly beside the Old Course 1st tee. Should Definitely be on the list if youâre visiting.

Myself and my husband recently visited for a rare night out and everything was perfect. The service was excellent from start to finish particularly with a lovely guy named Sean, nothing was too much trouble. We opted for the tasting menu as we couldn't decide and it definitely didn't disappoint. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and just what we were looking for from our trip. We don't live close by but will be making the effort to visit again (hopefully soon).Dear Adamsmum89,Thank you for your recent review of Haar. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and that Sean provided excellent service. I will certainly pass on your kind comments to him. I hope the next time your in the area we can welcome you again to Haar. Kind regards,RuairiGeneral Manager
