Bar Varia is a family friendly, Independent, Bavarian themed Restaurant and Bier Halle. Created by award winning designers and boasting panoramic views of Scotland's only indoor, real snow ski slope; Bar Varia is a unique destination. We offer a wide rang
Disappointing visit here. The staff were friendly but there were a lot of dirty tables and it took ages for the food to come out (despite the place being mostly empty). The food was fine, it was okay but nothing special. When I tried to order potato salad (comes with pretty much everything you eat in Bavaria), he said they didn't do it any more as nobody ever ordered it, yet it's still there on the menu. None of the food looked anything like the glossy photos on this Trip Advisor page. It's not really Bavarian - they have wurst and one schnitzel but that's it, everything else is burgers or pizza. And the beer choice wasn't brilliant either - for Helles, they had Paulaner on tap or Augustiner in bottles. Hardly a great selection for a place that advertises a "German Beer List". We took my Bavarian brother-in-law hoping it would be fun, but I was a wee bit embarrassed. Watching the ski slope is fun though. If you're after anything remotely authentically German, I'd stick with the Bier Halle or the Brau Haus in the city centre, they're a bit closer to the mark. I definitely wouldn't make the trip to Braehead just to come back here.

Absolutely cracking find. Had the Thai pizza and a build your own, and 4 delicious cocktails, and 2 lovely pints of Staropramen. The atmosphere was laid back and not pretentious at all like some similar places in Glasgow. Lovely friendly service, excellent playlist, left full and happy. We will definitely be back. Emma was a lovely waitress, just the right amount of attention and conversation. ThanksHi! Thanks for the great review! We're glad emma took good care of you, and you enjoyed your experience with us :D Can't wait to welcome you back :)

We eat here fairly regularly, cant recommended it highly enough for really personal friendly welcome, delicious freshly made tasty food and amazing prices. Their soup, pizzas, ciabattas, coffee is all absolutely delicious!! Sometimes i like a glass of fresh cold milk rather than a soft drink and the owner remembers every time even if i haven't been for several months, its always nice to go back. Highly recommended.

My family visited Glasgow for one week. After a long international flight, we checked in to our nearby hotel and then started walking the neighborhood looking for a place to eat.We noticed Mora and thought it seemed like a good choice. We were wrong about it being a âgoodâ choice - it was actually an EXCELLENT choice! Despite wanting to sample many different restaurants during our visit, we wound up returning to Mora for a second meal. One night we wanted takeaway for a quiet night in our hotel, so we came back a third time but learned they do not offer takeaway ( carry out). Itâs in an old building but is beautiful decorated and maintained. It has a very clean and modern feel, superb service, very fair prices, and fantastic food. I particularly liked the pizza and the lobster ravioli was exceptional! If I ever return to Scotland I will eat here!

This was our second visit to the restaurant and were not disappointed on either visits. Love the table layout and how everyone sits together but not on top of the people next door to you.Limited menu with daily specials, staff are happy for additions to be added to the pizza to make them your own, we did not feel rushed in any way as mentioned on a few other reviews and we were there on a Saturday night. We took an eight year old with us on the second trip and she loved the buzz about the place and even managed some ice cream afterwards - we will be back

Read reviews and this place lived up to them. Good location, friendly service and wonderful food. Portions just right and not overly sauced which unfortunately happens too often with Italian food. Lovely evening spent with my hip of 30 years. Thanks to all at the restaurant.

Winners of Scotland's best Cafe/Bistro Award 2012, 2013, 2014 and Best Italian Bistro 2013! A beautiful authentic Italian eatery, familay run with quality food and value for money always!
Had yet another brunch at celinos and as usual it was tasty. Even with a kitchen let down happening, the staff handled it well and left us informed of what was going on! My partner had the full breakfast with tea and I had the mozzarella French toast and latte. All lovely, I'm sure we will be back again!

Romans pizzeria & pasta bar serves Romana style pizza and authentic Italian pasta. Gluten free/Vegan options available.
Really nice place, quite cool looking inside and the pizza oven area adds atmosphere. Staff were all nice and efficient. Large menu with plenty of options appealing to everyone (lots of gluten free and vegan options too). Desserts menu was also nice. We were the last group in the place on a sunday night for dinner but the staff weren't pushing us to leave and seemed happy to let us sit and chat to each other. Definitely would return.
