Reviews on Chinese food in Glenrothes, Scotland, United Kingdom. Glenrothes ( listen (help·info); /ɡlɛnˈrɒθɪs/, glen-ROTH-iss; Scottish Gaelic: Gleann Ràthais) is a town situated in the heart of Fife, in east-central Scotland. It is located approximately 30 miles (48 km) from both Edinburgh, which lies to the south and Dundee to the north. The town had a population of 39,277 in 2011 as recorded by the census, making it the third largest settlement in Fife and the 18th most populous settlement in Scotland. The name Glenrothes comes from its historical link with the Earl of Rothes who owned much of the land upon which the new town has been built; "Glen" (Scottish for valley) was added to the name to avoid confusion with Rothes in Moray and in recognition that the town lies in a river valley. The motto of Glenrothes is "Ex terra vis", meaning "From the earth strength", which dates back to the founding of the town.

This Chinese now goes by the name of Grace and has moved premises (only a short space away). Same owners and same people serving. This used to be hands down one of my favourite Chinese takeaways without a doubt. However after my latest purchase (today) I will not be returning.Ordered Duck (A quarter) with pancakes... and you'd be lucky if you could find the duck. Was hidden amongst some lettuce that nobody really wants. Basically to make it look more than it is. Noodles were horribly cooked with little to no taste. Chicken satay was covered in a lumpy sauce like it had been reheated. Chips were pale white and a little raw. Ribs (which are normally our favourite) were terrible. Hardly any meat. Flavour tasted alot different to usual. Delivery was very quick I will give them that however the food was stone cold within minutes. I also read a few reviews that the young girl was very snippy. She was actually very polite to me and always was from what I remember. Something has gone very wrong in recent times for this place and sadly it's resulted in me not returning to order. It's a new year approaching anyway so will be on the diet I suppose ha. 1 out 5

Our friends stays in Leven. They recommended this Chinese Take-away to us. Every Friday for the last couple of months we order from this Chinese Take-away. We usually go in between 17.00 and 18.00. The staff is always friendly with a welcoming smile on their face when you walk in. A lovely smell of fresh food been cooked when you walk in. The longest we waited for our food was about 30 minutes. Worth the wait. Always piping hot. Tasty and plenty. £20 get us : Special Chowmain, Battered Chicken (this is fresh not frozen), Springrolls, Chicken with noodles and cashew nuts, two rice, portion of sweet chilli sauce and prawn crackers. Might not look modern from the outside but the food is what counts. Spotless clean in the reception and waiting area. Highly recommended and we're getting another Chinese this evening .
Fast delivery and simple food. I very rarely eat meat but the chicken and crunchy noodle dish is a must if you like crunchy textures. The chicken was to a good texture, not too hard but not too chewy either and the crunchy noodles was like munching into a good bag of fried supernoodles but much better. You get a decent amount of chicken too. First impressions? Not bad but I would like to order again and try out a good few dishes. Iâd recommend people to at least give it a chance and a go.

Here goes...marks out of 10...We had Two starters chicken wontons 2/10, Good Spare ribs 8/10.Three main courses Lemon Chicken which was a bit over cooked 4/10, Spicey shredded beef a bit tough 3/10, and a Thai Spicy mixed meat dish, which was a bit bland but eadible 5/10. If you like prawn crackers, you could be eating them for days after your meal here as there were so many of them!.If it's quantity not necessarily quality food you crave for, this is the place for you. Reasonably cheap and you get what you pay for.

having visited this restaurant on several occasions, and always been happy, we tried others around the area with varying results, but this one remained our favourite despite being smaller and having less choice, the quality was better. we returned this week to find it had been refurbished and extended, with more seating and a greater choice of food.it has not lost anything by doing this, but has gained in every way.the food is still great, the extra choices a lovely addition, and the price has remained the same. on tip of this, we were served by a lady called Caroline, and I must mention her by name, because her customer service to us, and others near us, was outstanding and second to none!
