We stayed at the castle for one night and had dinner. It was superb from the pre dinner drinks served in the parlor to the actual dinning experience. The food was delicious and the services impeccable. The wine selection was terrific. People dress up and it just felt like you had taken a step back in time and had a glimpse of what it would be like for that era.

Situated in the rural village of Roy Bridge, The Stronlossit Inn, a former croft serving food daily from 12-9pn. We offer a range of local beers and an extensive malt whisky list.
We stopped in for a meal around 6:30, there were a handful of other diners/drinkers. There was one staff member on duty. The meal was much better than previous reviews suggested, my sea bass was delicious and the deserts were great. Friendly service as well. Very good

We had a particular interest in Commando history, and being aware that the Hotel had a museum dedicated to the Commandos who trained in nearby Achnacarry during World War 2, this was the main reason for our visit. We were surprised how extensive the museum was on information relating to the Commandos. We found it very good but it would probably only appeal to those having a special interest in Commando history. We fancied a drink in the Commando bar afterwards, but were quite disappointed. The bar is completely lacking in ambience, and there is nothing conducive about it that would make most people want to stay there for a drink. We never ate here either.Imagine a rough looking bar in a deprived area of a major city, and this would describe it. The Hotel Management have certainly neglected this bar.Later on we went to the nearby Spean Bridge Railway station, now a restaurant and bar, a much nicer place for a drink.
Had dinner her on a Sat night during the Scottish Golf at Castle Stuart - I was suprised that I was able to get a table (didnt book until the Wed before).Small, but not too intimate restaurant with lovely surroundings and lovely atmosphere.Staff met us at the door and were very attentive for the duration of the meal.Food was excellent, and price was very good (£82 for starter, main, coffe and a bottle of wine).Well done - I will certainly visit again.

The food was fine, nothing special. A seafood linguine dish was cooked fine, had some local mussels, hot-smoked salmon, one large scallop, and some kind of whitefish (maybe haddock). The garlic and butter sauce was understated, which suited me. Mussels steamed with cider and bacon were delicious, although roughly a third of the mussels were unopened when served (meaning not safe to eat). The server promptly brought us a couple of complimentary glasses of the wine we were drinking after we mentioned it. I'd think the owners would want to invest in a grill and serve a daily catch of grilled or broiled fresh fish, but there was nothing like that on the menu. The wine list was adequate, nothing notable but also priced appropriately.

At the Old Station Restaurant & Bar we offer great locally sourced food at reasonable prices. Dine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, in the unique setting of a converted Victorian railway station on the world famous West Highland Line. We are located
We went here on the advice of our landlady. If you go, check the menu at the door rather than the much more extensive copies at the b&bs, maybe it was late season but what was actually stairways fairly minimal. The food was ok. But the staff seemed disorganized, tripping over each other and bossed around by a proprietor who seemed to be getting in the way. It took us half an hour to eat dinner and another half hour to get the check and get on our day-to-day this with perhaps half the tables empty. Doubt we would go back...

Serving outstanding cuisine with fresh local game and a selection of seasonal produce, Russell's is an AA award winning restaurant incorporated with the Smiddy House at Spean Bridge near Fort William. Once you have experienced the fine dining in our relax
Was staying in Spean Bridge after a long drive up and the fella in the B&B suggest Russellâs for dinner He said it is fine food Michelin star quality. As we are on holiday we treated ourselves and it was all he said it would be. The staff are happy and knowledgeable offered a chance to have a seat and drink whilst you choose in a room with comfortable seating. Then when the starter is ready we head to the restaurant. The food was stunning from the scallops stater, veal main to the raspberry desert. Couldnât fault it.
