We were really impressed with the food at east coast burger, burgers were really tasty , just a few niggles table in middle of restaurant was freezing every time door opened , and please please as a burger restaurant invest in your condiments ! Cheap ketchup is a sin on such tasty food !!

My partner and I stopped in here on way back from Stonehaven. The fish suppers we had were the best we have tasted in a while. My partner had the breaded fish I had the battered both came with double fried chips excellent no frills chippy.

As far as junk food goes, subway is my favourite. However, I have found the service to be lacking ... in all locations, including Montrose on previous visits. However, on this occassion, there were 2 young girls serving, and they couldn't have been more helpful, or patient....they explained about different sizes of sandwiches, different breads, etc to my elderly dad - who was a subway virgin. They chatted away, and were so friendly and welcoming .... they could train ALL the Subway staff nationwide in customer service. The food was stadndard grub, but enjoyable none the less. The only reason for marking down slightly, was the condition of the place .... it wasn't as clean as I would have hoped for a sit down, and the floor had an unexpexted slope inside the door (I assume to comply with dissabled access) and witnessed 2 people stumble on it. Would I go back? If those girls were working, definately!!!! Oh, and my dad .... he says he wants to go back too .... he loved his sandwich, and the banter with the girls :)

I have only visited this place once so far and we really enjoyed it. We were a group of 4 and went on a Saturday evening. There were a couple of tables available but people were having to walk out due to it being so busy a little later one. We sat down and then chose what to have. Once we had decided we went up to the bar were we were quickly served. Our food and drinks all came out within a reasonable time. Everyone's food looked really nice and cooked well. We even went for dessert. The cake stand they have the cakes look amazing. Unfortunately we didn't try any of these as there are big slices and wouldn't have fit them in. Overall we had a lovely visit and will definitely be returning soon. We may even get to try the cakes this time.
