A local traditional Scottish resturant with a French twist, all ingredients from a 20 mile radius and all cooked with a passion.
We visited as we are on holiday in the area. The booking was easy . The waiter was very good: attentive but not intrusive. I had excellent crab cakes and Haddock Thermidor crepe. My wifeâs Hake was superb too. Highly recommended restaurant.Weâll definitely visit again and again.

Small, family run restaurant. Open 10.30 to 2pm for coffee, cakes, lunch and from 5pm for evening meals. Pizza night every Wednesday. Closed all day Sunday.
My wife and I visited this restaurant on a quiet wet evening. I had sea bass and my wife had a pork dish and both were excellent. The portions were generous and the wine inexpensive. Both the waitress and chief were friendly and helpful and we even got a complementary digestive. We will definitely go back.

Someone highly recommended Selkirk Arms so we went there to have our dinner . The ambiance and decor of the restaurant was quite good, worthy of a Scotthish place. We were immeditely attended and from there on, it was a display of great hospitality and professionlism. We had ordered various type of fish dishes and all were done to our satisfaction. The mushrooms and veges were also great. Service was quick and very professional. And when we inquired about the quality of rooms, we though next time we would be staying in Selkirk Arms. A pleasent experience.Dear flyfisher66,How nice to get a recommendation - and I'm so pleased that your expectations were met and you had a lovely evening. We called with a small person and dogs wanting food. Dogs are allowed in the bar area but not children, children are allowed in the restaurant but not dogs. We opted to sit outside in the bar garden which offered no shelter from the rain when it started. Quick dash to the car with the dogs thankfully it wasnât hot. The food was ok and the decor in the dining room is dated

On a short break in Kikcudbright we had an evening meal here. Couldn't fault the food...the photos don't do it justice. The sBest meal we've had for a long timcallops, and the pate and salad for the starters, the smoked haddock creamed potatoes and poached egg dish, and the sea bass with puy lentils etc. for mains. Congratulations to the chef for cooking and presentation, and to the warm friendly,, yet very proffessional dining room staff. Top marks all round.
