My friend and I stayed here for one night when we were walking the Annandale Way. Itâs such a friendly, welcoming hotel. My room was large, spotlessly clean, well equipped, and the bed was really comfortable. My friendâs was smaller and looked out on the car wash but it didnât bother her as it wasnât in use much. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. We wouldnât hesitate to stay here again or to recommend it. We had a lovely stay.

Booked for lunch with a number of friends and were glad that they could accomodate 19 of us so close to Christmas. Decent selection on the menu and something to satisfy everyone. Orders for all courses were taken shortly after we were seated. The food we ordered arrived in a timely manner and was served on hot plates; and the bread rolls were still warm when they arrived at the table - nice! I can only vouch for the food I had - the winter soup was tasty, the beef tender and the vegetable platter plentiful and not overcooked. The Whim Wam (trifle) was a nice finish to our meal, or so I thought, but I'd forgotten about the mince pies and tea/coffee. The mince pies arrived warm, with fine pastry casings - very tasty.I'd say that the fixed price menu was good value and all our party left satisfied.

Dating from the 17th century, this former inn lies in the town centre. Now a family-run hotel, it provides attractive well-equipped bedrooms with WiFi access. At lunch, a menu ranging from snacks to full meals is served in both the cosy bars and the resta
Had to stop off at Lockerbie due to a small tyre malfunction that meant an unscheduled overnight stay in a hotel, was recommended here by the lovely guys at the garage who phoned and sorted my booking for me, they could obviously see I'd not had brilliant day.Check in was quick and the ongoing refurbishment was also mentioned in case this was a problem.Room was at the front has a bit of traffic noise but as the bed was so good I slept like a log, (doubt if a brass band marching past would've wakened me)As I'd not eaten all day I decided to eat in the hotel bar, food was freshly made and piping hot and I had a wee gin to ease the pain of the day. After a lovely sleep (ensuite bathroom has a lovely bath/shower that I had a fab soak in) I headed down for breakfast plenty choice of cereals etc plus an option of a full cooked(either Scottish or English) which more than sets you up for the day.I have to mention Jess the very lovely lass who was doing the bar/reception and the breakfast in the morning , cheerful, friendly and efficient.Hotel is going through some major refurbishment but don't let that put you off if I'm ever in the area I wouldn't hesitate to book a room. Loved having my breakfast with the suit if armour guarding over me.

Under new managements since March 2016. Everyone welcome even the dog!! We serve food 7 days a week from March till the end of October.
We were not expecting great things considering the location in the caravan site, but how wrong we were. We had a great meal, well presented with reasonable prices. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Considering the type of place (both inside and outside) they may be better utilising an âorder your food at the barâ approach, we certainly did. Most important thing is we will be back.
