Had supper there this evening, specials board is extensive, and portions very generous. Proprietors friendly, welcoming and easy to chat with. Really good value for money. If this pub wasn't 20miles away it would certainly be our weekly local but even with that well worth the trip. This is a little hidden gem on the east of Scotland.

My friend and I decided to have a light lunch before going walking. We had barely set foot over the door before the lady, I don't know if she is the owner told us she "Wasn't doing food" She was sitting down talking to her friends so I got the impression that even if we had just wanted coffee it would have been too much trouble. We felt most unwelcome, and will be avoiding this place when walking in the area again.Lunch problem was solved by grabbing a sandwich from the Co-Op just up the road!
