Visited on a quiet Sunday evening. Lovely decor and very spacious dining area and bar. Serviced quickly with drinks and varied menu to choose your favourites. Staff attentive. Most impressed with the quality of the mains as well as superb presentation of all dishes. Tasty food and ample quantities for mains and desserts Will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant

A great little find close to Kelso and less than an hours drive to Edinburgh. Stayed with our dog in one of the courtyard rooms....with its own entrance it was ideal for getting out without disturbing anyone. The bedroom was a good size and comfortable. The television was placed a little awkwardly for easy viewing but I know the management were aware of this. We enjoyed a light evening meal and a hearty breakfast. The guest lounge was full of character with many personal touches and a roaring fire....very welcome on a chilly evening. The staff were excellent and very welcoming....nothing was too much trouble. The food and menu is overseen by the legendary French chef Albert Roux. You know that the standard will be consistently good with a wide range of well thought out dishes featuring local produce from the Scottish Borders. We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay and hope to return.
