Benview Cafe & Restaurant

An interesting restaurant with seating outside and great views across Flanders Moss. Service was rather slow however the staff were friendly and the food was good. Coffee was a good flavour although rather a big cup. The menu has somewhat upper crust dishes at good prices. The associated shop has a wide range of foods for sale. The access road is a little rough, but parking is plentiful..

We walked down from the information center to this lovely Deli cafe right next to the church just off the Main Street. We tried their soups of the day which were Mushroom soup and Lentil soup served with freshly baked bread and butter. I also bought some really good crackers. The people were so friendly and helpful. You order at the till and they bring it to your table when the food is ready. Had 1 small but very clean toilet

On our first day of the west highland way we diverted from the route into Drymen in search of lunch (and coffee) and it was well worth it. The staff were very friendly and was space in the hall for us to leave our bags. It was lovely and warm place to have a cuppa and we both had toasties which came with crisps and salad. Topped up our water bottles for us and off we went again. Via a different road to get back to the whw. Exactly what we were looking for/needed for a cafe spot.
