Yatai Izakaya is an intimate local eatery with a casual atmosphere, modern Japanese food that practices traditional technique while utilizing the best ingredients that Aberdeenshire has to offer. As a small independent restaurant, we have honed traditiona
My son and his partner discovered Yatai and recommended it as one of our dining venue during my recent visit to them in Aberdeen. They have always chosen the Omakase menu so I tried it with them. It is a brilliant idea. The whole table âtrustsâ the chefs to create assorted sushi dishes based on any allergies and preferences but very much the choice of the kitchen so that you try dishes you may not have attempted before. There is a set price of £35 per head. We enjoyed some amazing and delicious sushi which I would never have dared to pick because I tend to go for familiar dishes like tempura. The raw fish dishes were truly delicious. The sake is a creation of the restaurant as is the plum wine which we had to finish our meal. Both drinks were really light and flavoursome. I highly recommend this Japanese restaurant for its superb sushi and hospitality. It is a small restaurant on two levels so it would be best to book ahead.

Having a reputation for its scrumptious food. All of us at Yorokobi by CJ Restaurant employ a motto saying: "care for guests with warm hospitality", and we commit ourselves to ever enhancing our expertise and service, and providing authentic Japanese & Ko
I have been a semi regular visitor to this restaurant ever since the proprietor (who by the way is a really genuine and friendly guy) relocated from his previous Aberdeen establishment. The food is high quality and excellent, and the restaurant has an impressive yet relaxing atmosphere. A great thing being diners who are new to Korean dining can if so wished opt for dishes more usual to the Western palate, whilst those more adventurous may explore other more intriguing yet equally delicious fare. By its very nature Korean cuisine is culturally and geographically a fascinating subject. When this is combined with, and honed through such a great restaurant as this, fine dining can be a delightful experience, as it was for our party, on our latest visit.

Come here for Chinese and Indian food, everything else was well below par. If if you have ever been to a World Buffet in other city centres, you'll have good expectations, especially for families, however, this was not up to our expectation. Wouldn't go back, but then that's just us, other people really rate the establishment.
