In Portsoy for 1 night, this pub was sooo welcoming, bar maid was excellent and made us feel really welcome, locals easily included us in their conversations, which is not always the case in small towns. Busy,cosy atmosphere with log stove, tv and music. definitely recommend. The building needs some maintenance attention.

Gordon and Teresa's upgrade to this pub has been a great thing for Banff. It's enjoyed by both locals and holiday-makers, and is a great place to meet up with friends for a drink. It's great to still have a decent pub in town, run by a local couple, who are willing to go that extra mile to satisfy their customers.
