Enjoy the highest level of professional service with an addition of classical style within the dining room and its unadulterated opulence of décor, one of the very few restaurants of period features left in the locality, or unparalleled surrounding with a
We just stopped for coffee. The lady at the reception desk was extremely helpful and we were soon sitting on the patio beside a sun drenched garden waiting for our coffees and shortbread to arrive. It was fascinating walking through the whisky dominated bar which I later learned had 1050 different brands of whisky. Parking is easy.Great to read that you received our special Glenesk Hospitality for your coffee visit. We appreciate your positve feedback with regards to our facilities here and hope that you have the opportunity to re-visit the hotel again soon.Kind Regards,Martin McilrathGeneral Manager

Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner the Baillie Restaurant is the ideal place to meet and catch up with family and friends in a relaxed dining environment.
We were a group of seven, so sampled a fair number of options from starters including bruschetta, an enormous portion of chicken goujons, and absolutely delicious Cullen Skink, to mains including haggis-stuffed chicken, vegan platters, and Cajun salad. Steak pie was a deservedly popular choice, and came with a generous selection of nicely-cooked vegetables. Service was friendly and helpful (for example with presenting the birthday cake). Price was good value for quality of fare and portion size. Will be back.

House of Farnell is a shop and a cafe'. As I am Danish the stock in the shop is mainly Scandinavian. And in the cafe I sell real Danish pastries together with lunches etc
Another of my frequent visits to the Christmas shop and cafe, and never fails to please. The array of unique Christmas decorations and accessories on display is stunning, with regular new stock and all with a Danish theme. The items are quality and moderately priced. Very easy to get carried away.........The small cafe is warm and friendly in the old school. The home made soup varies daily and is the best around, served in pottery from the shop. Soup sandwich combo with Danish flat bread. Delicious. The perfect location to add to your decorations or splurge on new ones with a lovely lunch too. Whatâs not to like?
