We will not be back to this restaurant. Food is good. Service was good until this experience. The secret of a good restaurant though is to squeeze good customers in for a table - especially when there are empty tables! Refusing good customers a table is the downfall of your customer service and ultimately the demise of your business. I had an 85 year olld and an 87 year old looking forward to a Korma. They took one look at them and said sorry no tables. Probably not going to buy enough booze on a Saturday evening. You have got it all wrong my friends.I am extremely sorry for the bad experience you have received but I can definitely make sure that the tables were reserved and weren't available, that's why we couldn't fit anymore people in. As much as we care about our regulars we equally care about customers who have booked prior and it would have been a disaster if we had given the table and the people who had booked the tabled be turned away. At the Kohinoor we treat all customers the same way regardless of age or what they order. We are extremely disappointed that you have received a bad experience but I hope you can understand sir/madam as we would never want to refuse any customer since it could ruin a persons day when they might be looking forward towards the meal. My wife and I visited this restaurant yesterday(18/03/2018.) whilst on holiday in Largs.I cannot recommend it highly enough.The owner,a very personable gentleman, and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.The food, of which there was more than adequate for us, was of a very high standard from a very extensive menu.Excellent window views which we were lucky enough to experience.Full marks for everything, hope to return, many thanks.

My friend and I visited for dinner and we were really disappointed. The food was quite alright but the menu was extremely limited for a main meal of the day. There was very little to choose from although the lunch menu looked better. The menu is very reasonably priced but the few choices are very basic. We were the only people in for dinner so there was no atmosphere or ambience at all. It is in a lovely location and the views over the golf course and the Clyde are superb.
