Offering delicious local seafood and more from its waterfront location in Tarbert, Loch Fyne. Booking is strongly recommended.
Original owners backed after a long hiatus, and the food and service are fantastic. If you are even close to Tarbert the trip is worth it. Fresh beautifully prepared seafood. Starters are amazing as are the mains. Had the mixed seafood platter, haddock, chicken liver pate (homemade), grilled fresh scallops, smoked fish starter, crab rarebit, all FANTASTIC - and all homemade bread also amazing. Highly recommended. SMALL PLACE BOOK IN ADVANCE.

Fully licensed seafood restaurant in Tarbert, Loch Fyne, specialising in locally sourced fresh fish and shellfish prepared with simplicity and care. Full menu and daily specials with meat and vegetarian options also available, as well as a well appointed
B&B lady recommended this place and we got the last table on a Saturday night. Lucky us. If you like seafood then youâll be in heaven. The food was delicious and when we asked for a half portion it was duly agreed. The wine was excellent - not often you find a negroamaro by the glass - a favourite grape of mine. The place was bustling. The service was efficient and friendly. Could not find fault.

Excellent food served by friendly enthusiastic staff. It's recently come under new ownership and the new owners are making their mark. The food was reasonably priced, perfectly prepared and attractively served. I'm looking forward to going again. One final thing, the coffee is the best I've tasted in the area, excellent.Thank you for the kind review! We hope to see you again soon. Our coffee is from Argyll Roasters who are an amazing local company just up the road roasting to order every week. Next time you are in please ask if you would like to buy a pack to take home. BestClare

Award winning restaurant and bar overlooking the marina, featuring the very best of Argyll`s larder. The Lodge kitchen and bar offers a communal style dining facility, featuring traditional fayre and great value.
Stayed here in June and August and ate in both the restaurant and lodge . The restaurant uses great quality ingredients locally sourced and are well executed .The Sunday lunch is fantastic and the beef was beautifully cooked and looked amazing. The lodge is less formal with great selection .The loch fyne langoustines were also superb. They do set lunches which I found to be excellent value and didnât need to leave the resort .

We had a great dinner here. Relaxing surroundings and good service. The steak and the lamb main dishes were excellent. Starters and deserts also tasty. We were delighted to find a restaurant of this level in Tighnabruaich. It must be lovely in the summer overlooking the water.Hi Frances Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review, it is so much appreciated. We are so glad you enjoyed your dinner and we look forward to welcoming you back, winter or summer but as you say the view over the water is so much more idyllic in the summer. Please note: we have closed for the winter and will reopen on 14 March 2020. Thank you for all your support this year. We serve stuffed croissant, filled panini, homemade quiche, delicious burgers, soup and home bakes. Freshly ground coffee every morning
Perfect combination of artistic style, speedy service and great gifts to buy (spoil yourself tastefully lots of choice ) with excellent home produced and locally sourced food, not to forget the really good coffee. Good place to buy and post your cards home too as the shiny red postbox is right outside. My daughter wanted a product that wasn't available at the lunch time but by aperitif time the owner, Lynn, was in the local Kames hotel lounge with the gift. Unexpected old fashioned courtesy and charm that really is above and beyond in today's fast society. We wish we lived closer we could become regulars very happily.Thank you to you both (we were sorry you couldn't share the aperitifs but we know that gem of a husband & business partner had another delicious meal ready for you. xWe're very pleased you enjoyed your recent visit to The Little Kitchen. We thrive on interesting customers and it was a real pleasure having you here. It was lovely to meet the 3 of you. Thank you for sharing your husband's story and for your book which I look forward to reading. We hope you had a safe journey back to France.Thank you very much for your detailed review. Lynn and Scott

A character hotel and pub by the water - set among spectacular scenery and with outstanding views. Home cooked food served in our bars all year round and in the stunning Edwardian Dining Room restaurant during the summer season. Fresh, local & seasonal pr
Stayed overnight on a road trip and would have given 5* for the evening meal. Wide menu, comfortable surroundings, excellent service from just the 2 or 3 chatty staff who seemed to do everything out front, and lovely food. Our super room had a sea view and when they say a sea view here they mean a proper sea view!!!! All wonderful and we so looked forward to breakfast. But it was such a let down. A young lady occasionally took orders & eventually delivered food but that apart we were left to our own devices....to some hilarity others in the dining room explained whatever the procedures were, how to use the tea/coffee machines & capsules and how to get your own toast etc. A good way to meet fellow visitors but not the best way to part company.

We visited this quaint wee restaurant for the first time last week while staying at the excellent Portavadie marina I loved the feel of this lovely wee bistro/ restaurant . It has a very small but well chosen wine list and what I saw good bar selection .The front of house was excellent and went through all the specials .My wife went for the scallops and chorizo, nice dish required maybe a wee bit more chorizo but it was enjoyed . I had the the chicken taco - this wasnât great, cooked chicken not much seasoning and maybe nicer in a tortilla than a taco.My wife then went for the local fish special - excellent was the verdict . Well cooked and beautifully presented .For me it was the the rack of lamb and dauphinois potatoes - I loved it. Lamb seasoned perfectly , potatoes rich and creamy with crunchy greens and a lovely rich gravy .Too full for pudding .Nearly full but the chef was a ultra cool working on her own in the open kitchen and all dishes were expertly put out.Look forward to a return visit .We were told the pasta and pizza night is very good on Sundayâs and busy .

We are open! Closed Monday and Tuesday Lunch rest of the week 10am till 4pm Dinner Saturday from 6pm
We found Botanica entirely by accident when looking for somewhere for lunch after crossing over from Tarbert, and were expecting a sandwich and cake place as we drove up. We were delighted to find something far more than that and enjoyed a great, quick lunch of fresh mussels, superb breads and hummous whilst sat outside the barn in the sunshine. Our little one enjoyed playing in the garden area which is set aside from the dining areas so the kids don't interrupt diners. A little more expensive than you would probably have been expecting to pay for a quick lunch when we first arrived, but so glad we stumbled in here and didn't find that sandwich.
