The Luss Seafood Bar is now closed for the winter. We will be re-opening for the 2019 season in April.
Our group of 5 had lunch at the Luss Seafood Bar. As others have pointed out, the lunch menu is quite limited but everything we tried was fresh and well prepared. The salmon, supplied by the smokehouse next door, is some of the best I've had. However, the service was very slow and they seem to be understaffed. All the dishes we ordered were cold, yet we still had to wait almost half an hour after ordering.

Arrochar Tearoom is a small tearoom in the village of Arrochar that opened its doors again in September 2011. The building has served as a tearoom as far back as 1940s I believe it has changed names a few times but always traded as a tearoom. Parking is b
While on a short holiday in Scotland came upon these tea rooms, as we entered we were greeted by a gentleman I now belive is the owner Michael. It was a very warm and welcoming one, once we had asked him about his menu we decided on the large breakfast, well it was a plate of quality and quantity. The food was really tasty and was presented not just thrown on the plate. As we left we asked for some choc chip shortbread which we ate later, again the quality was there. I would recommend this establishment to anyone going within a few miles of Arrochar. Thank you Michael.

The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel is a traditional inn situated in the heart of one of Scotland's loveliest villages, Luss, just 24 miles from Glasgow within the Loch Lomond National Park. This beautiful Loch Lomond hotel remains true to its tradition as an 18th
We stayed at an other property and have eaten our dinner here. The drinks selection was good with local beers. The food, well, it could have been better. We had the salmon starter, which was OK. Then the hake with wild mushrooms (tiny piece of fish) and the venison pie (with a blob of mash, no vegetables). Then we had the cheeseboard, which was OK, too. Would have been better if some special or unique Scottish cheeses would have been offered. Service was also OK, though it was not easy to get the attention of the serving staff.

The restaurant was busy and there was live music on a Friday night. There is a varied menu and our group particularly liked the musselsas a starter. I The food was excellent and the portion of cod was very large and perfectly cooked.

Thé food has no taste. The rice served cold. I had the tiniest piece of salmon for 15 pound and the smallest dish of vegetables. It is a shame that a hotel that serves the hikers along the WHW uses his monopoly to serve such bad food for the hikers .Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are so sorry to read that you were not satisfied with your meal. We aim to have every dish served out to be enjoyed. Please be aware if you had voiced this to us we would have endeavoured to rectify the situation with an alternative meal. We hope to see you again.

Set in the old Ballyhennan Church with adjoining graveyard dating back to the 12th century, our restaurant can honestly claim to be a unique historical setting. The earliest recorded visitors to the glen we sit in, were no less the Vikings, who dragged th
Slanj won our hearts immediately when we walked in, with the recorded Scottish music playing in the background and the waiters in kilts. Someone, finally, gets it. We don't want to be blasted with warmed-over American pop music when we're going out for dinner in (in this instance) an old deconsecrated church in the middle of Scotland! The food was good, the waiter, in addition to wearing a kilt, was heads-up with a great sense of humor. We would go back in a heartbeat.

I don't recognise any of the negative comments on here and find them difficult to comprehend. The Village Rest in the beautiful village of Luss had excellent food at very reasonable prices, the service was friendly and the staff extremely helpful and approachable. The menu was comprehensive without being overly complicated and the food cooked to perfection, a level above pub food. Thank you to all the staff for your welcome and making our dining experience memorable.

Stopped for tea and scone while travelling north. Tearoom was quite busy so we sat outside in the sunshine. Service was quick despite the numbers of customers.Food was excellent although the scone was so fresh it fell to bits when spread with butter. Good pot of tea too. Will try again when it is less busy and sample a greater variety of food. I would recommend anyone to give it a try.
