Pleased to be sharing a more favourable review of here. My previous 2 visits have been disappointing due to extremely poor service however...on this latest visit, the staff redeemed themselves. The receptionist greeted us warmly on arrival and escorted us to the Bistro then a young waitress said we may have to wait around 10 mins before our order could be taken as she didnt know where the waitress staff were?!?! Eh? Anyway, a charming young lady soon appeared, cleaned our table, gave us menus and promptly returned with water for us. We gave her our order and didn't have to wait too long at all! (don't know what the younger lassie was talking about earlier, I recognised her from a previous visit where she made a mistake- she seems highly nervous) I had a bbq pulled pork toastie with trimmings which was nice and my partner had filo parcels filled with haggis which were amazing- I'm getting them next time ! When paying our bill, we asked if we could order coffee and have it upstairs in either the library or music room area, so we settled ourselves in a lovely spacious room overlooking the driveway and enjoyed our coffee which was served to us within a few minutes. Finishing our visit with a walk in the garden, I felt as if I had really enjoyed our visit here and hope to visit again.

Some time agonI wrote a review about this restaurant butvzibwas there today and I feel zi had to write another review. My friend and I arrived there at 12-30 havingvalready booked our table and Icoulnât believes hiw busy the restaurant was. People were even eating outside. We had to wait about five minutes as the entire restaurant was occupied. We placed our order butvas usual we had to wait a while becausecas I said before they cook everything from scratch. They have a very amiable staff . Anyway my friend and I ordered the haggis fritters as a starter and it was delicious also it was beautifully presented. For our main ordered the smoked haddock hotpot which their version of Cullen Skink. which was also delicious cannot praise this restaurant enough and he price was amazing under £16.00 the total of the bill. We couldnât believe it and the quality of the food was par excellence. We thoroughly recommend it o anyone who is n the vicinity or even tontravela distance to get there as they will not be disappointed .
As the title says, good food & friendly staff, the shop is regularly busy which is a testament to their service and product.A bit more expensive than other local take away's but you get what you pay for

Lucky enough to enjoy another wonderful full Scottish breakfast at Craigielaw. Travelled through from Glasgow and had a table booked for breakfast, a yearly ritual, wonderful as usual. Fantastic breakfast in beautiful surroundings, served by cheery, helpful staff. Also enjoyed a glass of wine in the courtyard several hours later after a very enjoyable walk. Must return for an overnight stay some time soon.

Called in with my daughter for lunch and we had a great time. Food was fantastic and staff were great and chatted as they worked. Both staff serving weren't kids and they would have put the kids to shame, they were busy but we're lovely with little diners and they just worked together beautifully. The food was great and freshly cooked. We both had pasta which was divine and hot and bubbly which is my perfect meal. Definitely worth a visit. We loved it. X

The Prestoungrange Gothenburg was established in 1908 and still continues as a bar and restaurant to this date. There is also a microbrewery attached, which produces some of our own real ales served from casks. We have a varied menu that changes regularly
Went here with a friend for lunch, ordered steak and ale pie, the pastry was burnt, and the steak was more like stew as it had carrots in it (which wasnt mentioned on the menu) I had mash potatoes with this which were lumpy. My friend had fish which she said was lovely, maybe mine was a one of, but it has put me of trying againGood afternoon,Thank you for your review. We pride ourselves on trying to offer quality service and food. Our steak pie is our number one seller so I am a little disappointed with your experience. Was this brought to the attention of a member of staff at the time? I am sorry that your food was below our usual high quality and I would like to let you know this was indeed not the usual and I would like to ask you come for food again and hopefully your experience is our usual high standard

Small café serving homemade food from breakfast, soups, lasagne, toasties, baked potatoes pies and cake!
In Musselburgh with my 20 year old son today and we were starving and this wonderful cafe was first place we came across so nipped in...so glad we did. We both had soup and a toastie with a soft drink then I ordered tea and the carrot and walnut cake(love a homemade cake) which was soo delicious and fresh. Staff were wonderful and looks like the type of cafe you would want to work in. Cafe was full and everyone in there were all relaxed and really enjoyed themselves as lovely welcoming feel about the place. If back in Musselburgh I wil definitely be back. Prices were really good...very impressed.
