NEW SHOP NOW OPEN, with our new name, the new building just straight across the road from the old shop - look for the red roof!! Fishermans Kitchen is a seafood shop and takeaway selling fresh fish & shellfish, deli products, local products, a good select
Came here and had fresh prawns and salmon - freshly caught and down by the harbour and not expensive either. Worth the trip!

Situated in the West Highlands of Scotland, overlooking Skye and the Applecross peninsula on the NC500 route we serve the very best seafood, delivered fresh from local suppliers, prepared simply for the fullest natural flavour.
A wonderful experience in a friendly, unpretentious restaurant with beautiful views to the Isle of Skye. A warm welcome and excellent service added to the pleasure of first class cuisine. On two consecutive evenings (as it was so good) I enjoyed oysters, lobster, fish pie and I particularly liked the starter of orzo pasta with seafood. The experience greatly added to my enjoyment of my holiday in the highlands & islands.
Can you give five star reviews to food carts? Do I really want the crowds from Skye extending to Plockton? I wasn't sure so I downgraded to a four even though our Garlic Plockton prawns and spiny tails were succulent and tasty and sustainable - direct from the sea and boats parked in front of us at the pier. I couldn't think of better food to eat that night.Shona is back home with her food cart down by the pier. There's a very handy park bench with a view or plenty of room to park up in the rain. To get to the pier, turn left as you enter the village and walk towards the community hall. The pier is on the headland. You will pass at least one outdoor restaurant on the way if you prefer something flasher. Do yourself a favour and experience fresh seafood and friendly locals away from the hordes of tourists in Skye this summer. If you are headed to Skye without a dinner booking, this may also be your safest option. Please note : the beautiful drive to Plockton includes a single track road and sheep roaming freely - just like in the Outer Hebrides. After the summer, Shonzeys hours will change. Shona is likely to be taking the cart to different villages on weekends. That's why I've included the Facebook page photo.

A GREAT PLACE TO MEET AND EAT. Serving delicious dishes from the land, sea, soups, snacks and afternoon tea.
When we arrived in the afternoon they had just finished serving afternoon tea so we had coffee and cake. Lovely butternut squash cake and pear and bramble. We decided to go back for dinner and werenât disappointed. Best meal of our weekend away. Black pudding with goats cheese and Cullen skink to start followed by Vegetarian lasagne and a cheeseburger. Delicious.

Booked a table for a family celebration service wasn't great food very average. Venison very chewy, scollops tiny, pizzas with pre-made base, dressed crab salad just handful of leaves with what looked like pre-bought dressed crab thrown on the side. Overall effort and presentation could be better and staff a little more organised and friendlier. Not what I expected from such a lovely setting very disappointing with £130 bill. Should have gone further up the road to the other place.

Great welcome from really friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. The menu of dishes identified as surfy, turfy, or wee includes some great choices and very good value. The mussels were beautifully presented, really tasty and although from the "wee" choices a good sized portion.

Glenelg based supper clubs. BYOB. Tasting menus and Sunday Brunch. Also available for private dinners for up to 12 guests.
Verity and Jenny cooked and served a fantastic dinner for my guests at my 50th Birthday Party last weekend. The food was delicious and beautifully presented to 14 guests at the House we had rented. They were a joy to work with from the outset, quick to respond, suggest menu options and very organised on the day itself. A talented pair indeed! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone as my experience was truly faultless.
