Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Edinburgh. Edinburgh’s neighborhoods developed as the city did. Originally its heart lay in the alleys and cobbled streets of the Old Town, below the castle. Then, in the late-18th century, the residential focus shifted north to a huge planned Georgian New Town. That’s now become the city’s business center, while visitor attractions and nightlife have become fairly evenly shared between these two central districts. Around them, a ring of residential districts now house most of those living in central Edinburgh. Though less good for sightseeing, these neighborhoods are just as busy and typified by thriving restaurant scenes and large parks.

Booked a table for 10 on a Friday night during the festival. From the outside this restaurant looks ordinary, however, the experience was far from ordinary and did not disappoint. The service for such a large group was excellent. The menu has plenty of choice , bbq meat being the main attraction. As well as the food we ordered the chef provided us with small plates of humous and other delicacies which was a nice touch. Good value for money. We booked a table around 9.30 which was quite late but were never rushed or put under pressure despite being the last diners in the restaurant. Will definitely be back.

Isola is specialize in regional Sardinian and Mediterranean cuisine.
We randomly chose this restaurant after walking by it from our B&B into town and what a delightful experience! Service was excellent, prices were reasonable and our meals were excellent. Nice atmosphere inside as well. I especially enjoyed the pear and ricotta ravioli. Highly recommended.

We stopped by early on a Friday evening and enjoyed the 3 Mezes & Dessert for £15.95. Every item we ordered was freshly prepared and full flavored; we were quite impressed by just how good the food was. Service, in this small family run place, was equally good. The warm Shaksuka aubergine cubes sauteed in tomato, garlic and onion were our favorite.

We visited during a stay in the area.Had booked in advance after consulting Trip Advisor for ideas for restaurants. We love Turkish/Greek food, so this place jumped out at us & Iâm so glad it did. We have been to Meze Meze in Rose street before & love it, so thought we would try here. The food was amazing. We chose the mixed meze for 2 & our 13 year old son had a separate kids meal but tried some of ours too. Everything was so tasty, fresh & flavoursome & plentiful. We washed it down with Efes. Food & service was excellent, decor was stunning with all the Turkish lamps, loved it. We will definitely return next time we are back in the area. Highly recommend you visit. Thank you so much for visiting Kezban and we greatly appreciate your review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the food served here and that you found it all to be fresh and flavoursome. Thank you for your kind comments regarding our staff and for appreciating our unique decor. We hope you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again very soon!

Some of the best tapas we've had. Cute place with friendly service. The stuffed Piqillo peppers were incredible. The bread with ham was delicious. The scallop special tapas was good as well. We had the orange cake for dessert which was tasty. Hip atmosphere. Great restaurant.

I was invited here as part of a family gathering and, to be honest, wasn't particularly enthusiastic about Greek food because of previous experiences. I'm completely converted now! It was EXCELLENT. So fresh and tasty and obviously prepared with care. Everything was delicious and we all shared the various dishes. So good! Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff as well. I need to go back and try everything else on the menu... Highly recommended!

Stockbridge might be off the beaten track for some people in Edinburgh, but a visit to Radicibus is more than worth it. The complimentary pre starter was an explosion of wonderful flavours. The bucatini alla amatriciana was perfect - freshly made pasta, rich tomato sauce and melt in mouth pigâs cheeks. Even the biscuit in the tiramisu are home made. Giovanni exudes passion about the food and the service is warm and informative.

Southern Italian using the very best of Italian and local Scottish produce.
We visited here when fringe was on but staff were pleasant and food was exceptional! Such a friendly atmosphere, and for the time we were in they turned away 13 parties who hadnât booked. Special shout out to Eleanor who guided us to the fish platter which did not disappoint. Wish we lived nearer but cannot recommend highly enough!

Expect to encounter a multi-sensory experience; visual, textual, taste. Simplistic and natural interiors, complementing the effortless and fresh cuisine that follows the roots of culinary principles in Italy: excellent quality ingredients, honest cooking
Great restaurant, hard to find, well there we were surprised by a lovely Prosecco, three amuse bouches, starters like grouse or ravioli with truffles (generous) followed by mains, venison with hazelnut or guineafowl. Interesting but short winelist. Dessert was a divine nutella accompamied by an icecold expressomartini. All in all was this a great experience and in my humble opinion they deserve one star in The Michelin Guide. When the bill came I was surprised, prepared to pay at least 100£ more than I had to!
