Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Coatbridge. Coatbridge (Scots: Cotbrig or Coatbrig, Scottish Gaelic: Drochaid a' Chòta) is a town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, about 8.5 miles (13.7 km) east of Glasgow city centre, set in the central Lowlands. The town, with neighbouring Airdrie, is part of the Greater Glasgow urban area. While the earliest known settlement of the area dates back to the Stone Age era, the founding of the town can be traced to the 12th century, when a Royal Charter was granted to the monks of Newbattle Abbey by King Malcolm IV. Coatbridge, along with its neighbour Airdrie, forms the area known as the Monklands.

Staff were friendly and welcoming and drinks arrived quickly. The menu has been refreshed and some familiar dishes have a fresh twist. My haggis arancini were delicious as were the other starters of scallops, Brie and minestrone.I ordered penne Arabiatta and asked for tuna to be added along with excellent extra chilli and it was excellent. My mother-in-laws salmon was beautifully cooked and the pizzas had lots of fresh toppings. Despite the large portions we managed to squeeze in desserts and again all we lovely. This place never disappoints.

Had good value lunch which was adequate enough but the staff (all two of them) from the first encounter entering the restaurant were surly bordering on rude and dismissive. It really appeared to inconvenience them that we had come for lunch. They had zero personality and no bonhomie. Really off putting and really made us question our recent recommendation to friends to eat there never mind go back ourselves

Four of us had dinner here and Three of us were very disappointed. As always the service was fine. It was the food. I had a burger served on a (what seemed like a crusty roll gone soft) which made it very difficult to eat.(I took it home to feed to the fox.) My Husband had carbonara and left half of it as it was so dry and he can eat anything. My sister had pizza and again left half of it as it was pretty tasteless. We've only recently started going back and it's been great till now, but won't rush back. I can do better at home.

Had lunch here on Saturday while passing through Coatbridge. Itâs now called Twenty3.I had the salt and chilli chicken, which was lovely with sweet chilli sauce. Nice big portion. I had the lasagne and chips for my main course, it was really tasty and again, a nice big portion. The staff were so lovely, really polite and helpful. Service was quick as well. Nice place inside, comfortable and smart.

We are a small Italian Restaurant and bar, offering fresh, authentic, Italian food and fantastic drinks.
I dined here with my fiancée on the 5th of June and was really looking forward to it as the reviews previously suggest it was going to be a fantastic dining experience. Unfortunately it was nothing of the sort. I thought I would be busy based on the positive reviews but it was dead - this place opens up under a new name every 3 months - I thought Bocca was different but clearly not.....:We chose the early evening menu I had the squid rings and my fiancé he meatballs - the quid rings were like rubber and I think if they donât know how to cook squid they should change it for something else - my fiancé had meatballs and said they were bland and watery. She offered me to taste one but upon appearance I politely declined. I was hoping the mains would be better and I had minute steak which was dry and well done / they must have cooked it over a minute too long but I wasnât surprised based on the standard of the first course. My girlfriend had their dry tasteless chicken which looked like it was cooked the day before. So now Iâve sampled the place Iâm perplexed that these reviews state it was a fabulous dining experience? Either they got there on a lucky day or theyâre friends of the owners because it was dreadful. I would say go and try it for yourself but do so at your own risk as it was a pitiful excuse for professionally cooked food.

Wifes 60th birthday - she chose the mint has we had been a couple of times before and enjoyed the service and the meal. This time ( Sat evening) was disappointing. Although the service and starters were fair and reasonably good I chose Chinese curry for the main course. Very disappointing. Quantity was poor and the curry sauce was more like a consomme soup - watery and certainly as far as curries go - tasteless and bland. Also disappointing to be advised that they only stocked 1 choice of low alcohol drink - which in this day and age is poor and certainly not my experience on other restaurants. Will unlikely be back as the meal was disappointing. Pity as the mont has been good in the past.
